No.
Did you see the scene in Jurassic Park where they climb the electric fence? That's what would happen to me if I turned the thing on.

Game Gear is such a pain in the ass to play for multiple reasons: size of system, (lack of) battery life, sound issues.
I'd rather play a Game Gear emulator than the real thing. I don't know how many other consoles I can say that about.

Or I could mod a Game Gear to make it a full-fledged game system. Could you imagine having controller ports and a/v output on a Game Gear? No more screen malfunctions!
...Or it might just be a waste of time. I really don't know.
when i saw this, i thought of this thread topic...so there you go.omp wrote:This is my GG I have modded quite some time ago. It uses a viletim video out board, 2 player controller port pinched from a dead MD2 and the cartridge slot has been relocated. Both controller ports work, player one is simply tapped off the GG's contacts and player teo is taken from the EXT port. I have used the SMS pause on the controller mod so I can use that to work the start button. I use my modified SMS (well Mega Drive control pad re-wired) control pad for this.

I wish I was savvy enough to do that. That is brilliant.
I'm still hoping for some Game Gear clone to give my games new life.
