What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
This is really getting me in the mood to play some STALKER. I never beat it, so now I must go back and finish!

Just make sure you're playing Complete or the other mod I forget the name of.fvgazi wrote:This is really getting me in the mood to play some STALKER. I never beat it, so now I must go back and finish!
It is a unique one of these but it isn't in the wiki. It is possible that it is something that Stalker Complete added. Has a silencer and a scope, but uses more plentiful ammo. Damage is ok, but it fires fast and is accurate so is goot for sniping and ok for up close both. I would switch to one of these when in enclosed areas though in later areas.Xeogred wrote:The guns you're probably thinking of are the AK-74u's, since they've got some green on them. lol

Ugh, I can't help but think of that stupid guy in the bar (he's in some dark building on a walkway above and you have to go through this building to get anywhere), or the guy at the entrance of the actual bar that won't shut up. lolMrPopo wrote:Get out of here, Stalker.Xeogred wrote:I just saw... mother brain.

Wow you weren't kidding Hobie. Suddenly three new area's popped up North on the main map and they look crazy. Tons of new weapons and armor in shops now. I'm helping out both the Duty and Freedom a bit and it seems like I'll have to decide who I want to go with... the Freedom sound like crazies and I like the Duty more, but the Freedom base is insane and they're pretty high geared.
I wonder if the game glitched on me and I'm going to have a permanent unfinished (no time limit) quest now though, Skull that guy from Duty outside of the Freedom base that told me about the Sniper was killed by him or something. The objective indicator points to... his dead body now... uhhhh, lol.
I should mention I have a very weird infatuation with good industrial environments / level design in FPS's. Stalker does it really well, up there with Half-Life 2 and the FEAR games for me. I have no idea why but yeah I just love settings like this.
I think the game does a good job at the lonesome vibe, that's probably why the underground segments feel so intense. It's pretty grim outside of them as well and so the whole atmosphere to the game is just really good.

Yes, that quest chain is broken now. It's kind of unfortunate that he paths so close to the tower and can die.Xeogred wrote:I wonder if the game glitched on me and I'm going to have a permanent unfinished (no time limit) quest now though, Skull that guy from Duty outside of the Freedom base that told me about the Sniper was killed by him or something. Damn, I had a feeling that was gonna be the case. That's gonna irk the hell out of me... I was hoping maybe he was invincible while talking to him or something, but yeah right when I started talking to him we were getting shot at. He didn't die right there, but when I left to explore the map and came back of all the Duty members there he was dead on the ground, lol.
On that note I love seeing enemies get attacked by mutants though.
And I had the Freedom guys take out that Duty camp, didn't really want too and I never opened fire so I think I'm still okay with Duty, but yeah they were destroyed pretty easily.
