How the hell do you people sleep at night?
How the hell do you people sleep at night?
Seriously, how do you? The concept has challenged me since puberty. A switch got flipped in me or something back in 6th grade. My brain won't shut the fuck up when the sun goes down.

I don't sleep at night...I have watched the sun rise before I go to sleep almost every day for the past 5 years.
When I do finally try to sleep, I also have that "brain not shutting off" thing. I always feel like I could be doing something constructive instead of trying to sleep.

Have you tried exercise on a regular basis?Mozgus wrote:Seriously, how do you? The concept has challenged me since puberty. A switch got flipped in me or something back in 6th grade. My brain won't shut the fuck up when the sun goes down.
I wish I could stay awake longer....
My main challenge on a regular basis is keeping my energy level high enough to get all the stuff done that I want to.
Power naps followed by a bit of caffeine is my best bet.

Seconded. I'm as retro in my work out habits as in my gaming habits. I do the old NordicTrak Ski Machine 5 days a week for 40 minutes. I sleep like a log.Have you tried exercise on a regular basis?
My dad was having problems sleeping as well and he just started walking for about 30 minutes a day and he's been sleeping a lot better since. Moderate exercise is what I'd prescribe as well.

I used to have problems sleeping, then I started listening to music / watching tv while going to sleep. It really helped me out to the point where I can just nod off whenever I please. While I think you have probably tried this before, if not, try listening to radiohead (hail to the thief, amnesiac etc, not stuff like pablo honey and the bends), explosions in the sky, etc. something kinda slow and soft.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?
