I just got mine this week. I didn't even buy a game with it. I have yet to get bored with it. Maybe I'm easily amused. As far as launch titles go, I'm saying it's quality over quantity. I would stack the 3DS launch titles against any launch titles in history. I seriously couldn't decide on a first game to pick, and the upcoming titles are looking better all the time.
I have Starfox and Zelda on N64, but not portable, and not in 3D. I have Urban Champion for the NES, but not portable and again, no 3D. I have no problems with Nintendo re-releasing classic titles if they have these improvements.

The 3DS launch title line-up had neither quality nor quantity. The two best games were Street Fighter IV 3D and Ghost Recon Shadow Wars. SFIV is just a port, and GH looks and plays like a DS game, not next-gen at all. The 3DS launch doesn't stack up against most console launches at all.

Yeah. While most of the launch games were ports of good games, they were still just ports.
I remember the Nintendo 64 launched with Super Mario 64 (and Pilotwings). Super Mario 64 was completely fucking amazing, and that game alone easily destroys the 3DS launch 100 times over.

Pilotwings Resort was a good new game though.
Also, the DS launch was pretty similar. We had a port of Mario 64 and a port of Rayman 2, a bunch of awful shovelware and Project Rub.

Perhaps I should have said first year titles? It's just MY opinion folks. I'm also going off memory and not google (not that anyone here might be, but still) when I recall launch titles, and I'm just saying that ports or not IN MY OPINION it's a good lineup.

First-year titles would have made more sense, although so far I'd still say you're wrong. Unless Super Mario 3D Land turns out to be the best Mario ever or something.

Hey if you're happy, you're happy. That's all that matters.
For my part, there are 6 first year 3ds games I'm interested in, and a couple in the future with no release date yet.
I don't have a 3ds yet, but when I get one, I won't have any problems with the lineup.
