Wow, I'm surprised by all the hate for FF3. I think it's one of the better "old school" RPG's out there, even with the uneven difficulty.

Shiren's coming out in a few months, although Roguelikes aren't for everyone.

If you like old PC RPGs like Eye of the Beholder you'll like Etrian. Best DS RPG so far.

final fantasy IV is being remade for DS, and there's these 2 pokemon games coming out where you play as charmander or something. don't know if they'll be any good tho.

I'm a big fan of Contact. Other than that I can't think of any DS RPGs I like that much. Soma Bringer looks like it could be a good dungeon crawler.

The world ends with you is sweet so far. Definately worth picking up.

I really enjoyed FFXII: Revenant Wings. I'm playing through Crystal Chronicles as well right now. Not too sure about this one though.

I really didn't like this game. The gameplay was okay, but not remarkable. And the story was completely forgettable. I personally haven't played a single game in the series that can even hold a candle to Secret of Mana. Do any exist?
