Winter Saturday mornings make me think of Dreamcast. I got my first Dreamcast in late autumn and I'd always wake up early on Saturday that first few months. The window in my room was very poorly sealed so my feet would be freezing when the Dreamcast startup screen, tone, and VMU beep would start. I didn't have a Dreamcast last winter and honestly missed it :(

For some reason Taproot's song Poem always reminds me of Final Fantasy X. I didn't have good taste in anything in my early teenage years.

Chainsaw sound= Gears of War (duh)

Ciggaretes= Harvest Moon (I always played the GameBoy games at my Grandparents house, and they both smoked.)

Barq's= Legend of Zelda (When I got into the game I was also on a root beer kick. Go figure.)

Dark, Rainy days= All gaming (I especially think of the old 3D computer games where for some odd reason there was no sun, only dark clouds...)
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

Another one for me is Halloween - no matter what horror games have come out since, I always associate horror games with 7th Guest. That shit was creepy as a kid.

I... don't know why.
Epic.

One for me is that whenever I play some specific favorite metal albums of mine that I played alongside playing a lot of Doom ... well, the music or playing Doom makes me think of the other pretty strongly. FEAR was another game like this, I don't know why but I beat that game like 10-20 times, and so since I knew it so well and didn't mind lessening the atmosphere I'd play that one with some music as well. Just like Doom, it was always a specific album or two.

Resident Evil games make me think of one of my old good grade school friends and how I first played and saw them over at his place, many years before I ever got a Playstation myself or was even allowed to own such M rated games, haha.

Kind of a weird one, but everyday vents in the ground remind me of my first home when my mom and I lived with my grandparents for awhile. I fondly remember laying my head down on the vents and can almost still smell that weird yet awesome smell when I think about it... but mostly in that house specifically, lol. These vents around here don't give off that vibe! And well whenever I think of those times or my late grandfather there I think of all the great times I had with some NES games, specifically waking up almost every morning to play Blaster Master, Super Mario Bros 1-3, lots of Megaman games that my grandpa always rented for me, and the TMNT games since we always played co-op with those and beat them pretty often, heh.

This is a great thread topic!

Sandies Pecan Shortbread Cookies = Final Fantasy VI. I would rush home from high school, grab a few for a snack, and get back to climbing Cultists' Tower.

Snapple = Dance Dance Revolution 2nd Mix for Dreamcast. I had two dance pads, and whenever we had half-days in high school my best friends and I would go nuts on that game and hydrate ourselves with my parents' Snapple stash.

Caithness155's infrared photography makes me think of the poofy white trees in the SMB night levels (6.1-3).

I would often try to squeeze in some Genesis gameplay before leaving home for elementary school, so I know exactly what you mean. For me it's Frosted Flakes that bring Sonic 3 to mind. :)

Ah, that reminds me. Peanut butter on toast will sometimes remind me of Futurama.

That's right, I eat peanut butter on toast! Damn, I wish I had some peanut butter. I can go for some of that right about now.

Peanut butter on toast is good.

I think of Sonic Adventure for DC when I smell wallpaper stripper. This is because my mom and I were stripping the wallpaper off the hallway my room was in when I first got it. I was incredibly stoked for Sonic Adventure, even though it was 2007 and the game was old hat. It just looked so cool online.

Second-hand smoke makes me think of old, Windows 95-era PCs. This is because of a neighbor I had who smoked a ton back during those times.

Ever dunk PB toast in black coffee? This was a tradition in my house growing up.
