Hey! Looks like they're on our side for once! :)
the comments bring up a good point, they never said their catwoman code is free.

I wanted to buy this game, I only have a PC so when I read K-Mart's policy was to not have PC versions on hand I said fuck it.

I would have wanted to buy the collector's edition but they nerfed the market, NO PC versions of that. The game looks better on PC and I want the best version, fuck PC gamers/collectors I guess.
On October 13, 2011, it was announced that the Catwoman missions presented as part of the main story campaign would only be available with new purchases via a unique code. Without the code, users are required to purchase the content separately. A Warner Bros. rep confirmed that playing as Catwoman would not be required to complete the game.
Fucking bullshit! Same deal with the PC versions and shitty GFWL, Steam isn't so bad but I bet this applies doubly much bc Steam versions always get screwed up.

can't you just buy a used copy, DL the DLC, return it or resell it and basically get the code for free?

Eh, I don't see what all the fuss is about. The pre-order stuff will eventually all be available to download just like it was with the first game. I don't like pre-order bonuses, but I guess they have to reward people somehow. Eventually, it trickles down to the rest of us too and it's all minor, pointless stuff anyway, like most pre-order bonuses.

As for the Catwoman thing, it's really just a reward for people who support the product by buying it new. For everyone else, it's DLC. Kind of smart actually. Give people a reason to buy your product new so you make money. It doesn't really screw everyone else over. If you think about it, people who buy used are getting the game for a discount anyway. So paying extra for Catwoman DLC isn't a big deal. This is smart business

Is all this stuff a little annoying? Yeah, I guess, but not worth having a hissy fit over

and Gamestop doesn't give a fuck about us by the way. They make a ton of cash on used games and constantly shove them down people's throats. They're doing this for THEMSELVES, so they don't lose used game sales on what is obviously going to be a major title and game of the year contender

I agree, but wait, what do you miss out on exactly if you don't pre-order? What do you mean by "miss out on portions of the story"? I looked at the Wikipedia quickly and the only pre-order bonuses I see are suits and challenge maps, as well as random bullshit collector's items. Are you just freaking out over the challenge maps, or am I missing something?
It's just challenge maps. Niode's just being Niode.
Ah, big whoopie. I'm not buying it anyways but one of my friends is gonna pick it up for a marathon someday this week, I'm stoked.

Catwoman was still advertised as part of the game, now she isn't.

Buy the game new on some website like amazon or ebay and get the code included. It's not like this game is going to become rare and by then it probably will cost about as much as a used game anyway
