Isn't it funny, it's almost as bad as Mortal Kombat....but it's animated so it didn't get as much attention. I kinda like it though. It always felt like a video game version of Ninja Scroll with all the blood spraying and getting chopped in half.xraydash wrote:I tried the neo4all emulated version on the dreamcast but the controls were way too loose. It wasn't much fun at all. I'm now playing on kawaks and it's a zillion times better. I'm not crazy about the blood on the arcade rom though. I guess I just prefer my video game violence to be more cartoony.

I just have to say.....Samurai Showdown II is my favorite fighter ever (2nd is to JoJo's Bizzare Adventure) and compared to the first game.....I just don't have anywhere to as close to as much fun. I like SS I, but it's got sluggish controls, a limited amount of characters, and nowhere near as much personality. I think SS I was a good stepping stone to an amazing fighter. props for making me play I again to realize how good II is.

Actually, against a good player this is a fantastic way to get killed. Charlotte's recovery off that move is slow. A good player will punish you badly after a failed Splash Fount. I've had Hanzo players cut of my damn feet so gosh darn many times after this it's sick.Funk, E wrote:If you use a Turbo controller and play as Charlotte, you can win the game by only using her strong Splash Fount. It does an insane amount of damage and usually dizzies.
Sorry, I'm a bit jaded. I rarely ever played against the CPU. When I played this back in high school it was in a school game room, and seniors didn't have to wait until the end of the day to play. So I quite often was playing against fellow students, and there was always a queue for SamSho. Versus is truly the way to play this game.

In MAMEUI32 where does the bios go? with the roms?racketboy wrote:Do you have the neogeo bios ROM?ott0bot wrote:Ok, so I've tried and I'm completly failing to get any roms to load in mame osx. I put it in my rom folder and open it from the MAME menu and I get to 88% and then it errors. Maybe the ROMs are missing files. Where can I find a good rom for samurai showdown?
