not the same Never Sleep Again. The one I'm talking about came out last year and is like 3 hours long. It's amazing and got its own DVD release.

Take a "stab"? Scream 1-4?

Though you may wanna get to all the Fridays. Hands down my favorite horror series, even if I think other single films (Halloween, Evil Dead, etc) are better.

It's not? Bummer. Oh well. something to pick up later.

And yeah. I'm probably going to go with Scream. I see they've released 1-3 as a Blu-ray set (+ a couple extras) so I'm going to pick that sucker up since it's only about $20

And I have the first Friday, but I have seen all the others. I'd heard rumors that a new box set was going to be released, but it looks like the same thing they released last time (and no blu-ray, bummer) so I'll probably just track down the original disks. Though those individual blu-ray disks of 1-3 tempt me....

And now begins the proud tradition of Freddy really hamming it up. I gotta admit, part of me loves it because out of all of the slashers Freddy has the most personality. But at the same time he's so different from the first movie that he's almost a completely different character. He still gets a sadistic pleasure out of tormenting people, but now he's dropping cheesy lines along with the manic slashing. I'd be torn if I didn't enjoy both versions so much.

Anyway, the Dream Masters is probably second to last for me on the list, right above Freddy's Revenge. I just don't find it all that interesting. It does give Freddy a pretty interesting "death" sequence though.





I enjoy Dream Child a lot more by comparison. It gives us some more background information regarding Freddy.

Plus, it has some pretty elaborate death sequences.



Including the comic book scene, which is probably one of my favorites.


I have 'Take On Me' flashbacks every time I see this.

Since people seem to be rating them, I'd give them each a 3/5.

2nd episode of american horror story was alot better than the first. i like how it borrowed from "the strangers" which was a dam good suspense/horror movie than i went into expecting.

I liked it as well, it seems that the show is a tribute of all types of horror genres and sub-genres (home invasion, haunted house, possession, creepy neighbors, etc.), hell, the soundtrack is from hundreds of other films (Insidious, Psycho, Vertigo, What Lies Beneath, etc.). I'm really liking it, although the dad is still a twat.

@Michi: I always thought 5 was the most disturbing of the series. It goes into the whole thing about Freddy's mom being a nun and being raped. And it definitely has some of the grossest stuff in any of them -- like the eating thing. Or the bike. Etc. I do agree that story-wise, it's an excellent entry. But I'm not that into it like when Im in the mood for Nightmare, it's not one I grab right away.

Oddly, 6 is. Which I assume you'll be reviewing next? Oh man I love Freddy's Dead. I kind of know it's not that great. But something about it just sits so well for me. I mean it's not scary in the least. But as far as cheesy ham-it-up Freddy goes, that's just a total winner of a flick to me. Plus cameos by Alice Cooper, Roseanne & Tom Arnold and the Power Glove!

Halloween 3



I liked it but it's NOT a Halloween film, no Michael Myers, no Halloween theme, no nothing. However, I really liked the halloween theme of the whole film and I was genuinely creeped out with the first mask scene. 3/5

Blair Witch 2



I know almost everyone hates it, hell, I hated it the first time I saw it. Until I activated the "Secret Of Esrever" feature. The experience is completely different and it's pretty fucking creepy. 3/5

And I have the first Friday, but I have seen all the others. The thing is that it now includes the uncut version of the first and a replica mask. Not that I really want it though since I don't really like F13.

I actually like F13 2, 3D, 4 and 6. I'm not a big fan of the first one though, too many close ups of Kevin Bacon's speedo .

As for BW2... I have a theory that the redhead is actually Elly Kedward, check this out: http://blairwitch.wikia.com/wiki/Elly_Kedward. You should try the PC games too, they are RE/Nocturne clones that are fairly entertaining, cheap and creepy. You could also get them in a set called The Blair Witch Experience which comes with The Blair Witch Project, Blair Witch 2 and it's soundtrack, the 3 PC games and a stickman necklace and it's also quite cheap.

actually I did see the redhead in another movie. Um, it may have been Stay Alive? But she wasn't a ginger anymore which made me .

The games do look really cool. I'm pretty sure I read about them on HG101 at a time. I actually have the copy of BW2 that came with the film score

5/5: Yet another of one of my all time personal favs. It's just plain fun! The series itself is all over the place as it is known as The Massacre series which consisted of 2 more sequels w/ the Slumber Party title. Cheerleader and Sororiety House (2 films) Massacre are also apart of this series as well. I love them all! SPM like I said is just some good ol' fashoined slasher fun at it's best. It's goofy at times but that's part of what makes it good imo. Worth a shot if you like 80s cheesey slashers!
