Counter Strike is a fun game. Play it on the Xbox, though. It lags like hell on my 360.Lone Wanderer wrote:Halo 2 is easily my favorite xbox game, probably in my top 5 favorites on any console.
@OP do you have counterstrike? I got it for $3 from gamestop a few years ago, absolute steal for how much I've played it.
Does anyone still play with the original xbox?

I play mine occasionally, mainly for Panzer Dragoon Orta (best game on the console), Phantom Dust (under-rated and amazing), Sudeki, Shenmue II, and Morrowind. I have Jade Empire coming in the mail right now so I'll probably fire that up soon too.
Xbox is a decent enough console, but pales in comparison to the Gamecube, PS2, and Dreamcast. I also hate how heavy and big the fucker is.

You're a big fan of Japanese games, right?
I'd rather have a huge powerful system than a small, weak one. Personally, I like this size and weight. No chance of ripping that one off the shelf when you trip on the controller cord.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I also hate how heavy and big the fucker is.

No chance of that happening anyway w/ the Xbox w/ those amazing break away cords!

You've never played Max Payne? Those games were on everything back then. I'd play the PC versions, they're probably better. I'm sure they're on Steam for like pennies or something.mas wrote:besides halo 1 and 2 panzer dragoon a few others, i want to pick up max payne 1 and 2. Are they good games? Dead to Rights wasn't that great.
My favorite Xbox (console) exclusives were:
Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse
Phantom Dust
Jet Set Radio Future
Forza Motorsport
Kingdom Under Fire: Crusaders / Heroes
Morrowind / Morrowind GOTY
Halo 1 / 2
Ninja Gaiden
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Amped / Amped 2
Otogi / Otogi 2
Shenmue II
Rallisport Challenge 2
Phantom Crash
Hunter the Reckoning
Breakdown
Grabbed by the Ghoulies

Agreed. Sometimes I need me some Splinter Cell... or Tenchu with extra levels and moves... or Thief: Deadly Shadows... or the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy... or Deus Ex: Invisible War... or the version of Rogue Ops with voice command... or remakes with better visuals... o! and Moto GP 3 (3 I say!)... yea, I like an XBox...BoringSupreez wrote: ...It's still the best way to play greats like Mercenaries and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.
Gotta love 'em
And in regards to the whole nostalgia thing going on around here... Halo 1 was a riot, Fable & The Lost Chapters was awesome for 3 or 4 playthroughs.. really awesome...
There's definitely a buttload of great games for it..
Guess all I'm sayin is, is there a reason to not still play with the original XBox?
...
and that... especially if it's a FPAnything... ..and those triggers are perfect..Nemoide wrote:...If there's a multiplatform game from that generation I want, I'll usually try to find the Xbox version rather than PS2 or Gamecube...
