I'm not as much into the torture porn type of stuff you see a lot of nowadays, I definitely prefer the supernatural when it comes to horror.

I hate the term "torture porn", it's so stupid. The only think I can think of with that description is this: http://thecinemasnob.com/2010/06/22/hardgore.aspx

Oh cool.

I like the paranormal stuff even though it genuinely creeps me out (wimp) so I was curious.

I had a taste for the gory stuff when I was younger but I've lost it over time. Particularly since it seems to be getting more and more nasty as time goes on.

Slasher flicks are certainly fun though. I was always a fan of Scream.

I will admit that as a hyperbole the term can be misleading. I still view it as separate from Splatter type films (if that makes sense).

Freddy hasn't turned into Mr. One-liner yet and is still pretty scary, but the muttled plot and dull/sappy characters can't make up for it. What's really jarring is that the excellent dynamic of the thin line between the dream world and the real world is pretty much non-existent in this sequel, essentially killing the premise of the first film. This is definitely not my favorite in the series. I don't even like the poster. The Thai poster is better. At least in that one Freddy looks much more menacing.

I think the movie can be summed up as more of this:

Less of this:

Granted, this was a pretty creepy moment:

But it's pretty sad when the most disturbing part of the movie was this scene:

Thankfully, Cracked articles make it better. Scroll on down to #1.

NOES2 has the whole homosexual thing too. Did you see the documentary Never Sleep Again? It's funny, the director says none of that was intentional.

Just saw Deadline.

2/5

My lady wanted me to watch this with her. It was pretty generic, slow moving, and not even remotely unnerving, but did start to get interesting in the last ten minutes. It was too little too late though. It was like watching a Lifetime movie with a boring haunting and a couple jump scares.

I'm personally into more of slasher. I'll watch the paranormal thriller stuff, but it kinda bores me. Slashers are funy at times, and I can watch them with no problem as long as they avoid any sexual stuff with the gore. IE, Phirrana 3D I was okay with, but my friend suggested me a movie that I watched (Can't remember the name...) Where the 'bad guy' rapes a girl with a knife. I don't like that shit.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360

WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.
