Sorry.
Anyway, I don't play Animal Crossing, because the very premise of the game seems dumb. Why would I want to play at having a virtual life? Especially one with an annoying mole. Same goes for The Sims.

Yeah I used to own it and played it a decent amount. I liked the Nintendo DS version better though (As did someone else in this thread). I didn't play the Wii one because it didn't really look like anything really improved or changed much since the last one.
The game needs more depth to it, if you know what I mean. (Mountains to climb, islands I can reach by boat, caves to explore...! etc, etc).
It's been a rehash every time. Fuck Animal Crossing.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
I still play the gamecube version, there's just something about it. I own the other two, but i havent played them nearly as much as the gamecube. Just so much fun
The original Animal Crossing (the GC and N64 versions are essentially the same) was the best one. The DS version is real fun too but still not as good as the original...
The Wii version had way too many issues, and it was like they didn't even tried. As a fan of the series it really erked me! They better make the 3DS version awesome.
Besides the fact that it was rushed, half assed? The fact that the game barely takes up and room on the disc speaks for this loudly. They had the opportunity to really expand a game that is about visiting your town each and every day with a multitude of things to do. They not only didn't expand it and use the space on the disc to their advantage but they cut things!
The City itself was a HUGE waste and a disappointment. Instead of making the city a bustling area with lots of things to do they just moved the random events that could show up in your town once a week to the city...but you could still only use them once a week. So this made the city boring and eliminated events in your town. Besides that you had a store which costs a huge amount of "bells", a auction that I never used, and I could get my hair cut.
The town itself was still fun Animal Crossing goodness but again the had the opportunity to expand it but they barely made any changes. Having tired level towns wasn't much of an improvement and everything else was essentially just an upscale of the DS game. Then we get to the awful "Animal Tracks" mechanic. If you actually visit your town once a day and play for an hour+ you will watch your grass die from walking around. Running did even more damage, and the only way to get it to grow back was to plant a huge amount of flowers and not walk on that spot for a very long time, but it wouldn't grow unless you played the game. When it first came out people were making videos all the time of their brown muddy towns from after a few weeks of playing. It was like the game was punishing you for playing it.
It still has the AC charm, looks good and colorful, has some fun stuff. But they botched the whole thing compared to the previous two.
