not exactly a movie, but this DVD was recently released containing 8 Halloween episodes. I'm a huge huge fan of 80's and 90's sitcoms. Really, I can enjoy them no matter how bad they are. And Roseanne was actually damn good until the last season which just boggles the mind.
Anyway, I wish more sitcoms/shows would do these Halloween releases. The Simpsons had two discs of Treehouse of Horror episodes -- but each disc was like 4 episodes each. Honestly, the Treehouse episodes deserve their own boxset.
EXCELLENT idea Noise!! I'm so embarassed I came in late for this thread! Been busy lately with work, marriage, life, school, etc.
Where do I begin?! I'm like a kid in candy store right now and this can be dangerous for me since I'm so passionate about horror films! I guess I'll comment on some of the posts first.
@ KillerJuan77: There is absolutely no shame in RZ's Halloween films. While I prefer the originals because for the plain and simple fact that they were brilliantly shot, written, and directed. I don't think you can mimic that kind of genuis imo. However, the remakes are gems in their own right.
Maniac is a classic as well and you really can't go wrong with Tom Savini at some of his creative best. He is the man. Enough said.
Scream series. Can't go wrong here w/ Wes Craven behind the camera. I always felt like one of the very few that enjoyed the sequels, including pt4 which I still have to pick up on BD.
My first contribution:
Enough said IMO. 5/5. You just can't go wrong and I purposely went out of my way to post a pic of the original artwork which upsets me when they release these films on dvd/BD and change it from the original VHS or poster artwork but that's a different subject completely. This is just a classic zombie film. The overall atmosphere and feel to it just puts me in a great mood and reminds me of my youth of when I first saw it. GREAT soundtrack as well but unfortunately both the dvd releases and recent BD release have been butchered as far as this goes.I'm unsure why it has not been kept in tact like the VHS version was. It doesn't ruin the film but it can be irritating to those that remember it in it's original format. Bakc to the film itself, the special effects are fantastic, there's plenty of humor, and the storyline itself is good. It's a fun movie and I really have yet to meet any horror fan who doesn't love this movie!
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!
Return of the Living Dead is a total 5/5. By far my favorite Zombie movie of all time. It's got an amazing soundtrack, a great cast, awesome make-up and Linnea Quigley dancing naked in a graveyard. I don't see how you could make a better zombie movie.
This movie is just awesome, I can't believe I waited as long as I did to watch it. The action is kickass, the horror elements are very stylish and well done, and the gags are hilarious. The second half has a great over the top vibe going the whole time. When I think about it, this movie is almost like Splatterhouse meets Castlevania. Even though the transition between the two parts is a little disjointed, it really didn't bother me at all. Both parts of the movie are great in their own right, despite how noticeably different they are. overall a really fun and crazy movie with awesome horror elements.
5/5
Love this movie. It came out the year I was born, and I've seen it at least one a year since it came out. I've seen it about 100 times (not exaggerating, my family loves this movie.) Amazing.
I'm not sure if it is necessarily horror, and I haven't seen it, but I've heard great things about both of the following:
Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil
Hobo With a Shotgun
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360
WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.

I'm still going to watch the show, specially if it keeps it's sex-horror theme.
just watched it last night. i thought it started out good, then kind of blah. for a series i thought there would be a little more character development like in true blood or something. i'll keep watching cause its good to be on regular cable, but i could care less about the characters. they all seem kinda annoying.
Meh, it only had 2 or 3 cool scenes but other than that it's pretty dissapointing.
Puppetmaster
I think it's OK, but the stop motion is top notch. Although... why would a guy make puppets that look like that?

I like Violent, she's kind of funny. Ben (The husband) however... he is a twat. Jessica Lange is pretty cool too.
