Bah, the only thing a toaster is better for is off the shelf mass produced square loaf 3/8" to 1/2" thick sliced bread. I would think that you'd poo poo such pedestrian bread sir.
A toaster oven is better for all other bread shapes and thicknesses, bagels, pop tarts, cinnamon rolls, cheese toast, warm PB&J, and other coated bread. You can monitor your item to get it just perfect unlike in a toaster. You can toss small frozen fast food things in there if it has a tray without heating up the entire kitchen. Unless you eat regular toast every morning with breakfast and never need to warm up any other bakery items, it is just better.
