Troll 2

Post by Anayo »

I think Troll 2 would be 100 times better if during the end scene, when Joshua sees the trolls eating his mom, he said, "They're eating her. And then they're gonna eat me. Oh my goooooood!"

I find it hard to believe anything could have made Troll 2 better. And I mean that in a good way.

I'm not sure why this needed its own thread but oh well -- have you seen The Best Worst Movie? Truly a remarkable documentary that only makes Troll 2 that much better.

I would love to see the documentary. I actually learned of the movie when the author of Axe Cop made a blog post about it.

see Best Worst Movie right away. It's amazing. It's like -- y'know how you can love King Of Kong even if yo'ure not a gamer? It's like that.

Also:

Troll 1 - have you seen it? It's pretty funny. I saw that one first actually years ago.

Troll 3 - (also known as Creepers, Contamination.7, Troll III: Contamination Point 7, or The Crawlers) Did you know this existed? I feel like most Troll 2 fans don't. Much like Troll 2 it has nothing to do with Troll 1. In fact, it doesn't even have trolls or goblins. It has plants.

Troll 2 Part 2 - are you aware of this? Not sure if it's just a rumor or if progress has been made. But they are planning to make an actual sequel to Troll 2.

I still have to see that documentary. The Troll movies are good for a laugh and that's about it. I knew about part 3 but pretty much avoided it like the plague as I saw a trailer for it and that was enough for me!

Back to the original Troll movie for a second, I always wondered if the same special effects company that did Ghoulies did the first Troll film? That part where all that singing is going on and you see other "Trolls" through out the apartment complex in those forests, alot of them bare a very STRONG resemblence to the Ghoulie puppets from the original Ghoulies film.

Troll 2 pt2?! Wtf?! I'm speechless.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

Funny you say that, I always felt that the first Ghoulies and first Troll had a lot of things that made them feel very similar. I never looked anything up though to see if crew, etc overlapped.

I started this topic cause my best friend and I watched Troll 2 together. We've watched a few MST3K episodes and tried to watch The Room together (couldn't quite finish that one XD). If they manage to make Troll 2 part 2 we gotta get together to see it.

I'm gonna be totally hipster here and say I used to talk about Troll 2 before it became cool to talk about Troll 2. I rented it back in 96 or so. And around 2000-2001 I had several conversations ext(r)olling the horrible greatness of it to other people.
