i see them for $60 - $65 including shipping on ebay, which is about what you would pay for in the store including tax.

In Japan, tax is included in the price of the console so a $400 PS3 is $400. I really don't miss the "Well it's $400 and add tax... shit, I'm out $450 somehow~"

I think it is the same in the UK and the rest of Europe. It's strange yet pretty cool the first time I went there. You know how much you pay for and there is no need for calculating the tax. However, everything in Europe is damn expensive, specifically UK and France!!!

There's still tax, it's just already there as VAT at 17.5%. You can't get away from it, unless you declare it as business expense and claim the VAT back at the end of the fiscal period. When I'm running my own company in a few years i'm just gonna buy all my consoles and TV's as business and just put them in the office! lmao!

Theres no vat in Jersey and if the value of the somthing is below £18 you dont have to pay import tax, thats why amazon and play have warehouses there.

Yes but that's not mainland UK is it? :P

It won't stay like that for long. Sooner or later the government will close the loophole. Or start classing it as import. That will be a sad day. :(

I say it's time you Brits leave that tiny island of yours and come over here on solid ground where the big boi lives, the good ol' US of A. That way you don't have to worry about that 17% VAT charges. And let's not forget about American women. HE HE HE.

Having to put up with your accents would drive me insane. Plus everybody would just be like "so what's london like? What's Tony Blair like? What do you mean you've never talked to him? I thought everybody knew everybody in the UK?" etc etc stereotype etc.

I don't think I could live in the US for a long period of time. Maybe around the time a new console comes out so I can get it for half price 6 months before the UK gets it. Other than that I couldn't get used to driving on the wrong side of the road.
