Re: The Wrestling Thread
Man did they rush things again last night. You have Vince's return, a GM change and then they reinstate Miz/Truth AND have them in a match - let alone announcing a tag match at the ppv? This couldn't have been spread out over the next couple of weeks?
Vengeance is another no-buy for me, as exciting as seeing Cena/ADR again (Cena is of course invincible against ADR as Punk has taken the last two falls) may seem - :sarcasm:

they really mess up the story line after that great CM Punk storyline... sigh. i guess the bright side is it's not (TNA) Total Impact's story line..

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Raw was complete garbage last night. The only parts that I didn't completely hate involved Smackdown storylines. Smackdown is much, much better than Raw right now and the ratings show that. I hope they handle Cody and Henry carefully as they are the best things on Smackdown right now.
As for Randy Orton, love him or hate him he is putting guys over big time right now. I like what they are doing with Christian too. He seems to have some pull and respect with heels right now. He really comes across as a veteran who knows what he's doing and other heels recognize that.
I honestly don't care about ANYTHING on Raw right now. It's complete garbage and yes, I do think it has reached TNA levels over the past two weeks thanks to Triple H. Him and Nash have just shit all over Raw for the past couple of weeks and nobody wants to see more Laurinitis either

Re: The Wrestling Thread
You know what I love? Whatever happened to the 'Anonymous Raw GM'? Not that it was a compelling storyline or anything, but they really glossed over that one.. One day it was there and the next it's gone, without so much as a simple mention on air by Cole or Lawler.. Only that Johnny L is the new Raw GM
. Smooth.
It would have made more sense if Creative wrote in that Steve Jobs was the Anonymous Raw GM all along and Laurinitis had Nash and Mark Henry snuff him out in his quest to overthrow HHH...

Well I was trying to get back into wrestling here, but I guess I picked the worst time ever.
I quit. Let me know when it's Raw again and not The Triple H Show.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
That whole opening segment on Raw made me want to puke. Hunter continues to bury the entire roster. Let me repeat that. He BURIED THE ENTIRE GODDAMN ROSTER!!!! I don't think even TNA has ever done anything that stupid. He told the fans that every single person in the company doesn't give a fuck about them. HOLY SHIT!!!! Has Vice McMahon lost his goddamn mind! Who the hell in their right mind let Hunter go out and say that!!! He basically called Lawler, JR, Morrison, Santino, Kelly Kelly, Booker T, Justin Gabriel and pretty much EVERY SINGLE FACE IN THE COMPANY pussies for not coming to work. So there you go. He says everybody is a big crybaby and they don't care about the fans. Wow. Triple H haters have enough ammo to bash the guy for the rest of his career
Then Punk, Cena, and Sheamus basically come out and suck Hunter's dick. Or they might as well have, because suddenly it seemed that Hunter was everybody's favorite guy in the whole world. Punk looked like a hypocrite and a poser. Sheamus sounded like an idiot and Cena was....well, Cena. Words cannot express how much I HATE these guys right now. In fact, I hate ALL the babyfaces right now. They all suck. Mason Ryan is a lame Batista clone who smiles so much I want to slap him. Punk is a joke. Sheamus is getting so silly and kid friendly he's becoming Cena 2. Morrison is an idiot. Oh yeah, let me piss off the new interim GM. Real smart Morrison, you fucking moron
Punk was the guy, now he's a joke. They have ZERO good babyfaces now. At this point, I wish the Rock would just show up and Rock Bottom all of them. Rock Bottom on Punk, Rock Bottom on Cena, Rock Bottom on Triple H, Rock Bottom on Mason Ryan, Rock Bottom on Triple H and Rock Bottom on Sheamus. Then have him squash Del Rio for the title and set up a feud between him and the Awesome Truth and maybe I'd care about Raw again

There's a lot of good compilation DVDs out there that are enjoyable. Shawn/Brett one drops in a couple weeks too. Some rare footage on there.Xeogred wrote:Well I was trying to get back into wrestling here, but I guess I picked the worst time ever.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
Well, he did his best to lay out why he was out there and stayed within his character's message of the last few months. Still - little too jolly. His heat (along with everyone's really) has been dwindling a little but he still gets a top pop.Gamerforlife wrote: Punk looked like a hypocrite and a poser.

Ditto. I'm really stoked for that one. I'd love to collect the Wrestlemania's sometime too, I'm sure those would be fun to marathon someday.retrosportsgamer wrote:There's a lot of good compilation DVDs out there that are enjoyable. @Gamerforlife: I completely agree man, and that segment was what, 30-40 minutes? One of my friends quoted the worst line from the thing, that Triple H "could have a better match with this broom than most of the talent". Then his baby talk impression just topped it off.
I was very disappointed in CM Punk during the segment as well. If that was like Stone Cold, he would have stunned every single person in the damn ring. Granted, chances are Punk hates this as much as us, but he definitely seemed very forced there and was just kind of playing along with the business instead of doing his thing.
Overall I definitely hated that segment as much as you did. Baby face boss man in the ring buries the roster and gets louder pops than everyone, okay, let's bring out the biggest current faces and then boost Triple H's moral even more. That's all I see in that segment, they just lifted up Triple H's ego even more and put him above themselves.
