AV Selector Recommendations

Post by seanami »

Looking for a good component selector that won't degrade quality.
I tried to look at a few, but most seem to be discontinued.

Anyone know if this one is good or not?

I'm not super picky, but I don't want to lose that sharpness. 6 in is perfect for me too

Box is not critical compared to RF boxes
RF needs good shielding, RCA does too but not quite as critical. I use Pelican boxes which also makes Gamestop versions. Just mechanical switches that complete each two wire circuit of individual RCA and four pin SVideo connections.

I also use Pelican A/V system selectors which have worked out great having all the cable types I need supported: RF, S-video, component, composite, and ethernet. It's only missing HDMI but I don't have many HDMI devices anyway. 8)

Ya, I was looking at the Pelican, but was having trouble finding it. That monoprice one looks great. I will give it a try.

I personally use Startech boxes, but the composite/s-video ones seem to be discontinued. Simple, get the job done, and are remote controlled.
