I don't know exactly how he did it, but he did have time to poison brach. Skyler and family got picked up to go to Hank's in the morning. Brach was in the hospital at night.

But there's still some questions, like what happened to the ricin cigarette? And how did he figure out who or where brach was?

I enjoyed the finale and the subtle things it shows that are bound to bring up some conflict.

Am I the only one that feels worried that the next season has a huge chance of sucking? I don't want it to of course but I think that them walking out of the lab for the last time would have been a great ending. I guess if it does suck I can just pretend the fifth season never happened.

Yeah, I forgot to say. How and when did Walt get the ricin cigarette from Jesse? Walt's excuse for that to Jesse was completely plausible.

C'mon! You really think this show could be this awesome for 4 straight season then take a complete 180? But yeah, when I was watching the end of the finale last night, I was thinking "What if THIS was the last episode?" too. It wouldn't have been a bad way to end the show.

Honestly, I doubt the show will answer these questions. It will probably be left to us to fill in the blanks. But I think they did a pretty good job already.

That's one thing I'm not really worried about. The show rocked this season, and in my opinion has been getting progressively better. They don't seem to want to extend it forever and now the pieces are all in place to make Walt the Scarface that's in the making since season one.

By the way, at first I didn't think it was true that Brock wasn't poisoned by ricin. I thought it was just some trick Saul was pulling behind the scenes, like changing test results or bribing the physicians to let Jesse go.

Looking back, I think it would've been a pretty good explanation, though it wouldn't have set up Walt as the merciless quasi-Scarface he was meant to be.

I just rewatched the episode. I think it's more likely that Gus got Jesse out of jail. As soon as Jesse leaves the building, he is intercepted by Gus' men and forced to cook. And I'm still not sure if Gus or Walter poisoned Brock. There were guys waiting for Walt at his house. They could have easily put that plant there. Still doesn't explain why the ricin was missing from Jesse pack of cigs, and Walter definitely didn't have a chance to lift it off him.

The small details is what makes this show awesome. Like Ted tripping over the carpet the first time. In the finale, when Hector is talking to the DEA, the lady flips to a new page in her notebook to spell out what Hector wants to say. You can see what it says on the hold page for a second. "Want Schrader. Schrader. Where Schrader".

You need to watch the previous episode. 5-6 minutes into the episode you see Walt sitting in the backyard playing spin the bottle with the GUN, the gun points at the plant.
