Not just old video games, but also movies, music, records, toys, consoles, old magazines, you name it. This place looks incredible.
I so wish there was a store like this in my area. I have one, but it's all very overpriced, doesn't have nearly the selection, and only has DVDs, Blu-Rays, VHS, and video games & consoles.

Re: Vintage Stock, This Store Looks Like the Coolest Store EVER.
I just went to two Vintage Stock stores today. Whenever I'm near them, I go inside to see what they have. They do have a very large variety of retro stuff, so that's why their prices are a bit on the high side. However, certain items can be very affordable, and they have a 30 day guarantee, so it's worth paying a bit more sometimes.
Their employees are usually very nice/helpful (although not super knowledgeable), and their stores are always clean and organized. They don't always test what they get from trade-ins, so make sure you do test the items as soon as you can, as you will have to take advantage of their 30 day return policy on occasion.
Even though they aren't super close, the Gamers chain in Nebraska/Iowa are my favorite retro game stores. Their prices are unbeatable. Unfortunately, I don't get to Omaha very often anymore.

I've been to Vintage Stock before and snatched some SNES games for a few bucks. IIRC, I got Doom, Gradius 3, and Contra 3 for about $10. I think I also got a Mario Bobblehead there for $10. A little bonus: The speakers there were playing Black Sabbath.

There's two about 10-15 minutes from my place. You jelly?
(hey I need to brag about SOMETHING in Kansas, lol).
Yes, they are very awesome stores. All of my rare SNES games I've gotten from them over the years, I've actually never bought SNES games online. Dunno why, but for the SNES specifically the treasure hunt is just really fun to me. Got FFII, FFIII, MMX2, MMX3, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, and plenty of other games from them. Lots of other great stuff too.
As always though they give you crap back for trade-ins, but hey I never do that so no loss on my part. lol
They're another great reason why I haven't entered a Gamestop store in years.

Half to say that this is my favorite store ever. If there is something they don't have they will check the other 30 some Vintage Stocks and have it shipped to your house for $5 which you get back as a coupon. Great games, music and comics. (no I don't work there)

Probably the two I went to today.Xeogred wrote:There's two about 10-15 minutes from my place.
The one on 135th and the one off Metcalf.

Haha, yup. You in the area I guess? I'm over in Olathe myself. I usually prefer the Metcalf store (they always seem to have nicer employee's in my experience), although one of my old friends from high school apparently works at the one on 135th now, really short skinny guy with some tattoo's on his arms and he had like a mohawk thing going on the last I saw him there, hah.spiritplx wrote:Probably the two I went to today.Xeogred wrote:There's two about 10-15 minutes from my place.

There's one here in NYC, but it doesn't look to have any of the stuff in the Youtube video.

*slaps knee*
By the way in regards to the first youtube comment on that video:
"they fail for putting big stupid stickers on everything
"
They actually have the best damn stickers I've ever seen, because they come off like nothing. Their stickers have gotten bigger over the years I think, but yeah I've never had issues with their stickers on cartridges or anything.
