IIRC, you can download Dsiware games on a 3ds. Therefore, you can download the first Rayman for $8.ninjainspandex wrote:what about the 3ds i have one lol dont hate

It's a decent port, but you'd save money by buying an older version.ninjainspandex wrote:i was refering to the rayman 2 on the 3ds
Whatever you do, don't play the original DS version, it's terrible.
Older. Not wiser.

Fixed some stuff, added some new versions in. I HATE Rayman 2 on PS2. They changed a bunch of stuff, all for the worse.lisalover1 wrote:As I understand it, here is how the console/handheld ports of the main Rayman games stack up:
Best <--------> Worst

Rayman 3:

Re: best versions of the rayman games
The PC version is the same as the N64 version, but with high resolutions.Xeogred wrote:Definitely didn't look bad, but yeah.
I wonder how Rayman 2 PC measures up to the Dreamcast version though? I'd imagine they might be neck and neck, best resolutions on both and all (and hopefully you can play 2 on the PC with a controller?), it's kind of tempting...

Hey Boring supreez,
you say "Fixed some stuff, added some new versions in. I HATE Rayman 2 on PS2. They changed a bunch of stuff, all for the worse"..
can you please elaborate on that? right now the PS2 sounds like the best version to me.

Re: best versions of the rayman games
Poopy frame rate on the PS2 version, which is sort of puzzling, they jacked up the music if I remember correctly. They also enhanced some of the scenery, imo for the worse. The DC version is far superior.retromangia wrote:Hey Boring supreez,

Sounds like Grandia 2, and many other cases. Haha... it seems like if the game was on the DC originally or whatnot, that's the version to go with in a lot of cases.s1mplehumar wrote:Poopy frame rate on the PS2 version, which is sort of puzzling, they jacked up the music if I remember correctly. You know if it easily supports widescreen? I definitely might consider playing it that way.DinnerX wrote:The PC version is the same as the N64 version, but with high resolutions.
