Even Speilberg can be ruined by the Wii

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Watch the new trailer, it makes it look far more interesting than some lazy mini game collection: this is actually a very in-depth looking puzzle game and looks to use the controls well, and a very elaborate level creator with online sharing abilities. See some more of it before you throw into the shovelware pile.

Also, I fucking hate this "anyone could make a puzzle game" thing that's spending around like a disease. because just anyone could have come up with Tetris, right?

I'm not judging by the book by its cover just yet. Gamers do this all the time and I actually hate it. I didn't like it when people were hyperventilating over a SINGLE screen shot when it came to Street Fighter IV, and I don't want to do that now. I am human, however, and I will have initial reactions (for now, those reactions are negative) but I don't pass judgment until something comes out. Even full-fledged demos sometimes don't tell the whole story (like with Burnout Paradise, which turned out great but people bitched about the demo).

Again, I just think it's totally freaking ironic that -- given all the moaning by hardcore types over crappy Wii games for more than a year now -- that this title is a cartoony block-tossing game.

Let me put it another way. As a consumer I'm still waiting for the game -- other than Mario, which I am sure is awesome, and Zelda TP which I've already played and beaten on the GC -- that will make me want to buy a Wii. Haven't seen it yet, and I don't see it on the horizon.

Thats true and I'm definetly not one to judge a book by its cover. But like I said (I 2x checked that this was the game) the video that I saw of this at E3 was bad, I mean really bad. I've never seen anything that looks that dull, boring and simply pathetic.

Spielberg doesn't make videogames... just because Van Gogh could paint, would you let him build your house? Of course there is a chance it might come out pretty good, but are you riding on that?

And EA doesn't know how to make anything other than sport games.
I actually have EA to think for one of the best licensed games I've played in recent years. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King for the PS 2 was superb.

And sometimes it's good when non-gaming people take an interest in this industry. Peter Jackson hired Michel Ancel(Rayman, Beyond Good and Evil) to work with him on the King Kong videogame, which was really freaking good. Hell, it was BETTER than the movie.

Course, I'm skeptical of Spielberg's game too, but you never know.

I'm kind of surprised by the negativity towards this game. I think it looks interesting and all the recent previews and videos make it sound like people actually like the game. I think gamespot, ign, and gametrailers all had some coverage on it.

I think the level editor alone will add lots of fun to the game, but blowing stuff up and watching cool physics actually sounds fun to me. Especially when there are puzzles involved.

I'd much rather Spielberg did this kind of game then just did another WWII first person shooter or something.

So I started this thread to make fun of Boom Blox. I said I was still waiting for the game, other than Galaxy, that would make me interested in a Wii.

I was wrong; and here it is.

Yes, except for the fact that I don't have a Wii. Trying to convince my bro and sis in law to get it (they have kids and just got a Wii).
