agreed, it was pretty cool. So far I like the game and can easily see playing it through to the end. The execution cinematics are too long and are already getting tiring, the control is not as spot on as God of War or Devil May Cry (or even Dante's Inferno or Bayonetta), but the fun factor is still there. I thought the first 2D section was a cool surprise. Are there many like that?

Anyone have any idea how long it is?

I haven't beaten it yet, so no. Personally I can easily over look clunky controls when it comes in the form of over the top b-horror. 8)

Finally got a bit of time tonight to sit down and play Splatterhouse 3 and I've been having a blast. I did not expect to actually get into the story and care about saving people, but I'm experiencing a real sense of urgency fighting my way from room to room hoping my route is good enough while watching that clock tick away. I just died at the end of the third stage for the second time after getting to the boss without much health left and decided to take a break.

I just started Splatterhouse 3 tonight. Rule #1: Watch the intros. I wandered aimlessly, Jennifer was destroyed, the game was reset, then I watched the intro. I'm liking it so far - music is decent (sounds only so-so, maybe a bit irritating if played too loudly), graphics and gore is top notch, tho! This is what a beat-em-up should be like.

I don't normally post pictures of myself, but here's a nice one of me playing Splatterhouse Trilogy on DC...

Hey, you're finally playing a game where the main character matches your face.

Some people play Splatterhouse.

Picked up the PS3 Splatterhouse for $9.99 brand new at the Sony outlet store at the Philadelphia outlets today. That was an unexpected find.

IGN gave the game a 4 though. I just really want to unlock the arcade port.
