Over/Under

Post by Luke »

Step up and place your bets. er ah, predictions and see if they come true. Game based or not, the question is "What are the chances", such as 100% there will be a GTA V.

So answer, and post your own Over/Under(s).

My First over/under is....

75% at one point Johnny Depp will again play as HST or will play as Tim Burton at one point in his career. Over/Under?

Well slap my ass, pull my finger, and pluck one of my nose hairs. A friend just informed me that J.Depp has already played as HST again in THE RUM DIARY, which is in post pro.

So; So far my predictions are about fail safe.

I have no idea what HST means.

The Tim Buron role would be awesome. And not far-fetched. I loved Ed Wood.

Hunter S Thompson. Iconic author,(almost governor), screenwriter, junkie, and his last wish, before blowing his brains out, was to have his ashes shot into space. Which happened.

Read every single HST book. I'd start with Hell's Angels, but they are all...well...Let's just say he was one of the most unique individuals to have ever graced this planet. So much that H.Stern completely ripped off HST's logo.

Were you really unaware of The Rum Diaries before posting this or was that just sarcasm?

I had NO clue it was already filmed and in post production. I'm surprised none of my friends have screened it; that or I just haven't asked.

*edit* Fuck. How did this get past me? I'm on this asap, and hopefully will get a screener to view.

Not that I've been searching for information on it, but there's hardly been any press on it at all. Seems like the only Johnny Depp movies that get noticed are either directed by Tim Burton or feature pirates.

My god.
On August 20, 2005, in a private ceremony, Thompson's ashes were fired from a cannon atop a 153-foot (47 m) tower of his own design (in the shape of a double-thumbed fist clutching a peyote button) to the tune of Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky" and Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man."[35] Red, white, blue, and green fireworks were launched along with his ashes. As the city of Aspen would not allow the cannon to remain for more than a month, the cannon has been dismantled and put into storage until a suitable permanent location can be found. According to his widow Anita, Thompson's funeral was financed by actor Johnny Depp, a close friend of Thompson. Depp told the Associated Press, "All I'm doing is trying to make sure his last wish comes true. I just want to send my pal out the way he wants to go out."[35]
Spirit in the Sky.

Great, many more books to add to the list of books I wanna read.

Benny and Joon was a good flick.

I'll use your game example, but go one step further:

GTA V will be in the launch window for the PS4 as well as Uncharted 4. I give it an 80% chance. What say you?
