Re: Together Retro: Splatterhouse
I [fairly] recently picked up a Turbografx-16 w/ Splatterhouse and Splatterhouse 2 on the Genesis. This will give me a good reason to delve deeper into them.

I'm kind of just playing all the Splatter-games at the same time this month. I was just more in the mood for 3 last night.Opa Opa wrote:Are you taking a break from SH1, noise?

I should play 3 for a little bit. 2 isn't that fun, tbh.

Re: Together Retro: Splatterhouse
2 is definitely the weakest of the original Trilogy. It kind of comes off as a remake of 1 that's stupidly difficult. 3 is amazing though. And if you enjoy 3, you will love the DC BOR trilogy, as those games basically feel like sequels to 3.

"Stupidly difficult" is a great way to describe 2. It doesn't seem like a fair challenge when coming off of 1.

exactly. 1 is very difficult at parts, but never unfair about it. If you learn the patterns and practice, you can make it through. But 2 is just a dick a lot of the time.Opa Opa wrote:"Stupidly difficult" is a great way to describe 2. It doesn't seem like a fair challenge when coming off of 1.
