Jak and Daxter 4 + PS3 = $$$$

Not that I need another system, but seriously Sony and Naughty Dog, I have the money, I'm willing to give it to you. . . where's the game?
Ha ha, no. The PS3 equivalent of no Sonic game for Saturn would be no MGS or God of War for PS3. Besides, it's standard Naughty Dog practice to start a new IP every PS generation, rather than continuing their old one. Crash Bandicoot for PS1, Jak for PS2, Uncharted for PS3. When the PS4 comes out, you can expect to see Uncharted fall by the wayside.

Ratchet & Clank?
Spyro the Dragon? Sly Cooper?

Every cartoonish 3D platformer released after Super Mario 64?

As much as I love the Jak and Daxter series, I think not seeing a new game is a good thing. Once Naughty Dog started focusing on Uncharted, they handed Jak Frontier to another studio, and after trying it, I just don't think there should be any more Jak games.

Jak 3 was, in my opinion, the best Jak game, and my personal favorite.

I have to agree that it wasn't the best series ever in terms of quality, but for some reason it's still one of my favorites. I'm not sure if I'd like to see a fourth one though. While I'd probably be really excited about it, I feel like I would expect too much and inevitably be let down by a sequel. The 3rd one kind of fell apart near the end - too random and very easy compared to the other two (although the final boss was pretty cool).

I know a lot of people weren't fans of the art, but that was one of the best parts in my opinion. Especially the first game.

I think that Naughty Dog was over-reacting to complaints about the second game's difficulty, which was harder than most gamers were used to in the 6th generation.

Only the first game, IMO. Jak II, for all it's fun, had a very generic, gritty, dark art style and atmosphere.

I loved the first game, I didn't care for the others.

Yeah, but I still could appreciate the 2nd game's art. The enemies were well designed, and at the time driving/flying around the city without any loading times was pretty cool. And it was still stylized, which is a lot better than realistic gritty/generic IMO.

The characters reminded me of the saturday morning cartoons I watched as a kid. The graphics are pretty much as good as the PS2 can do, besides maybe God Of War 2. And the non-pre-rendered cutscenes still hold up to the stuff I've seen on today's consoles, especially as far as animation is concerned.

I hardly consider them mediocre platformers. They were some of the highest rated games of that generation.

And I don't want to see more Jak and Daxter just for the sake of it, it would have to be made by Naughty Dog. I have lost frontier, and it's ok, but I haven't even bothered to beat it yet. Part of that might be the fact that it's a PSP game that I'm playing on a ps2, so it just doesn't hold up as well.

I was just thinking, I'd appreciate an HD collection of the trilogy on PS3.

Would you pick that up were it released Jrecee? Or am I the only one?
