Seriously. What the hell. This is the ps3 equivalent to the saturn era as a Sonic fan.
Jak and Daxter 4 + PS3 = $$$$
Not that I need another system, but seriously Sony and Naughty Dog, I have the money, I'm willing to give it to you. . . where's the game?
There's still no Jak and Daxter game for PS3

I second this complaint.
Bring 'em back Naughty Dog, I'll be happy to slap you with a wad of bills.

Never played these games. Are they like Crash 3 on the PS1? If so, I'm going to try them.

Jak and Daxter isn't realistic enough to appeal to your average Joe Moron Gamer, but Uncharted is.
Re: There's still no Jak and Daxter game for PS3
The first game is more like a super polished mario 64. It's like an N64 rare platformer with actual gameplay instead of constant searching for shit.
The next 2 brought weapons in, so they're more like shooter/platformers.
And all the games have vehicles in them.
I haven't played Crash 3 lately but I felt like it strayed too much from the linear 2D platformer in 3D style that the first 2 games had. Jak and Daxter is more like the result of them learning from Crash 3 and getting everything right.

Sums it up nicely. If they were to make another Jack and Daxter I'd definitely prefer one similar to the first. But since the masses are convinced guns make everything better we won't be seeing that.Jrecee wrote:The first game is more like a super polished mario 64. I really can't seem to make myself interested in any of the Jak & Dexter, Crash or um... what's that other series that's a lot like the Jak games?

Re: There's still no Jak and Daxter game for PS3
I never understood the appeal of the Jak games, even after having played a good chunk of the first and second one. The characters are childish and annoying, the artwork and graphics aren't that impressive, and the controls never felt very polished. Uncharted 1 is legions better than J&D, and Uncharted 2 is even better than that. I know the series has its fans, but I don't see any incentive for Naughty Dog to go back to making mediocre platformers when they have are now making arguably the best IP of this generation. I'd love to see them do something new after Uncharted 3, but really hope it isn't a return to that series.
Besides, is there really an audience there that would make the game profitable? I don't think that even the much better Ratchet and Clank series has achieved sales on the PS3 like it did back in the PS2 days...
