That looks wicked !!!J T wrote:I went to see Amon Tobin live on Thursday and OH. MY. GOD.!!! It was immense. He was enclosed in this giant cubist structure with musically synced imagery projected onto it. Also, the sound system was loud and crystal clear. It sounded fantastic.
Here's some video from the Seattle show I was at. It's amazing on film and mindblowing live.
Part 1 (starts around 3 min into the video):

Part 6 (Finale):
What are you listening to at the present? (genres helpful)

Some Axe Gabba Murder Mob that came today. To be followed by some Stormtrooper later. (Hardcore techno that will probably be considered noise by everyone but elmicro and possibly noise)

I'm sorry man, but even 'elmicro' will have to disappoint you on this one...Hobie-wan wrote:Some Axe Gabba Murder Mob that came today. To be followed by some Stormtrooper later. (Hardcore techno that will probably be considered noise by everyone but elmicro and possibly noise)
Here in Belgium we call this Schranz. It was very popular here a few years ago, with Footworxx being one of the most popular Schranz parties. I just think there is not enough melody in Schranz. I mean, I like it hard, I like distorted, but this?... lol
I prefer the loopy techno that was popular around the year 2000, some hardcore / hardstyle, rave, industrial, more experimental stuff like Aphex Twin. But Schranz, meh...
On the other hand, I do like Masters of Torture, Hardtechmedia, stuff like that. Masters of Torture's Fucking Monster is awesome!... When I have my cds back I will upload it on Youtube. In fact, I think I will just upload the whole Mangamania - The Ultimate Trauma cd. For shame that this hasn't been uploaded yet...
If you don't have it, there's one on eBay.uk for less than 5GBP shipping included. Buy it now!...

Noisy things like this or the less melodic end of Controlled Bleeding's output is usually useful if I need to concentrate on something.Hobie-wan wrote:Whoops brain fart.elmagicochrisg wrote:I'm sorry man, but even 'elmicro' will have to disappoint you on this one...![]()

Yeah, I guess this could be good music to give you that extra boost when you clean your house...Hobie-wan wrote:Noisy things like this or the less melodic end of Controlled Bleeding's output is usually useful if I need to concentrate on something.
Must be fun music for a DJ to play with the crossfader and stuff too...

I can only take gabba and hard house in small doses. As someone that listens to everything Venetian Snares releases, I've learned to appreciate the style a little bit, but it's really not a favorite genre of mine.
