I really didn't care for the first Halo either. The sequel was way better because it had much more variety in weapons, enemies, and missions

The more interesting question to me is "Does anyone still play with the original duke controller?"

Its amazing to me a thing like that or an original DS ever made it past 1 person in a focus group.
The web's first video game public library! http://videogameexperiment.com rents all games for free and sells them for less than Ebay and Amazon! Plus we take anything in on trade-in.

"oXbox"? I have never heard that term before. The two systems have always been regarded as "Xbox" or "360".

What's next? oWii?

None of my friends know what I'm talking about unless I say "original Xbox" or type oXbox. Most of them assume I'm talking about the 360 otherwise.

Ha, yeah. Even with my large hands I find that controller uncomfortable, the button layout is atrocious.

In fact, that's my largest gripe with the Xbox controllers. While they could have had a wonderful pad for fighting games, they totally screwed up the d-pad, and made the black/white buttons different from the ABXY buttons, and offset them.

The original Halo was good for what it was (a decent shooter on a control pad). However, the fact that the later half of the game is just backtracking is really annoying. If you don't really care about the story, try Halo 2. It's better in every way. I consider it the high point in the series.

Hell yeah! Especially since I modded it a year ago!! It really gave it some new life doing that and I seriously think I play it more than my 360 since doing so. Some games don't emulate well on it though like N64 and I still have to figure out why I can't get the Atari 5200 games to work. Other than that it's pretty freaking awesome! 8)
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

There is a big group that love the original controller. So much so that people mod 360 controllers into them. One of my friends has gigantic hands - not Andre the Giant big, but really big, and he gets cramps playing with the type S and 360 controllers for more than an hour, so he plays with a modded original.

As for the original DS, atleast it has a good dpad. The DSlite has a terrible dpad that breaks very easily. Many of my friends "downgraded" to the original DS to get the better dpad for FFCC:ROF/EOT. The XL has the next best dpad of all the DS's

Like you said, unless one says oXbox, many people assume one means the 360, since it's much more popular than the original was, in addition to the fact that the 360 is current while the oXbox has been dead for 4 years.

Halo 2 is still my favorite by far. The story isn't as good as the first, but it still holds up. The multiplayer is where it shines, though. Plus all of the DLC but two maps can be purchased cheap on the Multiplayer Map Pack disk.
