PS2 games running on BC PS3's wouldn't recognize USB inputs as the system was on PS2 mode.
Do these 'recoded' for PS3 PS2 classics recognize USB input? Has anybody tested?

that's a damn good question. I know that on BC PS2's you cannot use a USB controller on PS2 games, which sucks.
Re: Do PS2 Classics recognize USB controller input?
Well, thanks for appreciating the question. There's actually a specific reason I would like to know and not just some random curiosity.
If I recall correctly, PS1 classics recognize USB input and these PS2 classics are being handled similarly, so I would guess there is a good chance they do.
Thanks in advance to whoever can answer this.

if I remember correctly, PS1 discs on PS3's will let you use USB controllers...
Re: Do PS2 Classics recognize USB controller input?
I've never tried PS1 discs, but I know that PS2 discs on an 80GB BC PS3 will not recognize USB.

Was just told yes that USB controller input works for PS2 classics.

I used to have a 20gb PS3 and my Hori Real Arcade Pro SA worked with Street Fighter: Anniversary and Alpha collection as well as the Samurai Shodown Anthology.

That means that that stick has a PS-button, right?attorneyriffic wrote:I used to have a 20gb PS3 and my Hori Real Arcade Pro SA worked with Street Fighter: Anniversary and Alpha collection as well as the Samurai Shodown Anthology.
Because that is the thing with ps2 games on a ps3, you need to be able to press the PS button. The sega saturn usb pc joypad for instance does not have a PS-button.

No Saturn control for you!

EDIT: Ignore.
I'm dumb and don't understand reading comprehension.

I played through Sonic's Anniversary Collection with a USB saturn pad. (Sadly, the only way to quit a game in that was to press the select button, which that controller didn't have. So instead, you had to unplug the controller to bring up the select menu)
You played a ps2 game on the ps3 with an usb pad?
