Mod chips and cases?

Post by lost_within »

Sup guys! New to this forum but i have been reading alot on here the past week sense i recently got a dreamcast back. Had one when they first came out...left it in my backpack in a friends car, and then it was "stolen". Personally i think he took it, but anyway!

I know the DC can play burnt images. BUT!...i still like OWNING those rare hard to come by games. Does ANYONE know where you can get the mod chip at for the DC? EVERYONE i find as far as a site that DID sell it are out of business, or no longer sell it period.

Also what about clear cases, special made leds, all that jazz. Ive been building computers for about 6 or 7 years now and i was looking to take 1 of 2 DC's and mod it out for the fun of it. If you could post on where i can look for such things or email me at [email protected] Thanks agian.
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

Check out this link and you may already have a DC that can read CD-R's.

OOPS! good catch...i ment imported games, not cdrs sorry

The dc i have now does play backups, i have a few japan imports that i downloaded that play as well. But agian i actually like owning my fav titles so i wanted to get a mod chip. But i cant find them ANYWHERE, if you DO find a site on google that says we sell them...you goto the site and they say we no longer carry this product

Anyone have any info on where to find the modchips at this point or is it pointless looking and you have to buy a Jap DC?

You don't really need a modchip, there is software that allows you to play imports, like DC-X or even Utopia's boot cd, I think it can do that too.
