Wow GE999 was on TV? Must have blown your mind back then, heh.
yeah, it was awesome! It has an dark, moody, ethereal feel to it! when you wake up at 3 am to try and watch it, you're still half asleep! It did feel like a dream!

Just got Cowboy Bebop in the mail. Had to lol when I realized that the guy who sent it to me had to use my forum name because he never asked my real name.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

Just to be clear, I've only seen probably the first 3rd of each first episode...I...I couldn't stand to watch any more than that

I agree. Bring back the Tech TV anime block!....A good one! Not that crappy Marvel garbage.

Up until a couple of month ago SciFi was still airing anime: Star Blazers and Monster. I also remember DVRing a couple of Macross movies on SciFi. They probably would have kept it if too if they could have picked a night to air it instead of constantly moving the block around.

Sounds like how much Adult Swim loves to treat anime thesedays.
^ At least they've been more consistent on where the block is. Sure, they got rid of the anime during the week ( ), but at least I know when I turn on CN on Saturday night there's going to be 4 hours of programming to watch. And if they're going to move it, I'm pretty confident there'd be enough ads telling me so (They spammed those Durarara!! ads like nobody's business). SciFi just moved stuff around to different nights with no warning. Royally ticked me off.

Definitely one of the creepier movies out there. You check out some of Satoshi Kon's (RIP) other works? Paprika rocks. I still need to see his other stuff he did though.

I loved Paprika, and considering I plan to study psychology (And I've helped my therapists with some summer courses for kids so I do have a bit of experience ) you can imagine how much I loved Perfect Blue and Paprika, I really need to see most of Kon's films. Back to Perfect Blue though, it's really creepy and to creep me out you need a lot of effort .
And BTW, RIP Satoshi, your films are incredible and we will always remember you for them .
