Great turnout. Lots of hardware this time around. Big thanks to Paul for saving the day with his extra CRT and 360. For awhile it was almost a Castle Crashers meet. ;)

The Streets of Rage Remake didn't fair too well. We hooked up Hobie's laptop via S-Video to the large Sony CRT. We had controller issue after controller issue. Everyone was making LAN party jokes. I think Hobie and Paul actually had the game running for a total of 5 mins with two working Xbox 360 controllers. This was after nearly 40 mins of troubleshooting, me relentlessly bashing Windows the entire time. At some point I suggested someone make a montage video of Hobie saying "fuck".The game ran beautifully on my Macbook in XP with the InPin PS1/2 to PS3/USB adapter, but we couldn't find a 2nd controller with a configuration that Remake agreed with. We finally shut Remake down on the main TV and let people take turns playing one player on the Macbook with a PS One controller.

Redline9 and I played through a pretty lengthy Story Mode session in Guardian Heroes at one point while the rest of the group took apart Streets of Rage 2 and Turtles in Time: Reshelled. We rounded out the night with Three Dirty Dwarves on the Saturn.

A video will be done, but I was working with a new camera and the focus settings were on a very undesirable setting. I know Redline9 was taking some video, so we will have to see what we can salvage.

Oh, and no time to sleep! Guardian Heroes HD releases next week. Paul would like to do a meet on release day (Wednesday the 12th I think). I will post more info and change the title of the thread when we have worked out the details. Stay tuned.

Yeah, I had tested SORR with 2 wireless 360 pads no problem last night. When it came time to play on the TV, making it fullscreen would always go to the laptop screen, not stay on the TV (#2) where the window had been. So we were resigned to playing it mostly filling the screen, then one of my controllers freaked and lost the receiver. With the 360 running with several wireless controllers going on it, I think they were getting confused. :|

Was fun otherwise though once we gave up and I stopped cursing.

It's finally time for the Guardian Heroes HD meet up!

Like I said, no time to rest! Join us for our Guardian Heroes meet scheduled on the XBLA release date, 10/12/2011 at 8 PM.

This event will take place at Paul's house. Paul manages the Austin Video Games meetup.com group. PM me for directions or check out meetup.com and join the group!

Mugen, Hobie, Flake - do you guys want to set up a satellite meet of sorts to play with us over Xbox Live?

Sounds like the meet was still awesome, wish I could have been there with a SoRR setup. :( Maybe if there's another Thanksgaming I could still bring it.

We don't have XBL Gold currently, but I'm sure we'll want it once GH hits. So you can count at least me and PressStart in for the satellite play!

Yeah, I like the 3rd one, too, because it depicts people successfully playing a Streets Of Rage game at a Streets Of Rage meetup. :D

Genesis does what Microsoft Windon't !

Thanks again to everyone that made this happen. wipeoutguy, hobie, paul, meetup.com crew........I appreciate it! Thanks for posting pics, quintorro!
