Robin can be part of a good Batman story, but on his own the character has never done anything for me. I liked it when he got killed, still have those issues.
My problems with Robin are purely superficial. It's just the name and costume I can't stand. I really like Dick Grayson a lot and will probably pick up Nightwing # 1 soon. I also liked the Jason Todd that I saw in Batman: Under the Red Hood. What was great about that movie is that it had two Robins in it, but neither of them were wearing the stupid Robin costume anymore and look how much cooler they were. The Robin name and outfit are kid stuff that both of these guys have outgrown, though Red Hood's maturation process was quite brutal, turning him into an interesting character with Dick Grayson's wit, but Batman's darkness

Unfortunately, Todd got less and less interesting as time went on. His current incarnation is pretty non-descript, well other than he sleeps with Starfire now, or that orange alien girl that is supposed to be Starfire.

Yeah, I've heard he hasn't done particularly well in comic book land. Maybe that can change with the reboot hopefully. I really liked what I saw in the movie. He had a little bit of Deadpool in him and I honestly liked him more than Batman by the end of the movie and that's saying something. Jason Todd is practical. In his mind, you kill Joker, and Joker no longer kills anyone. He does the things that Batman can't do and I actually agreed with his philosophy. Each time Batman lets Joker go, he condemns more innocent lives to death. That's a fact

Gamerforlife: Todd had a bit of the punisher angle for a bit, but they never went anywhere with it and now who knows. I've always held that if the Punisher was in Gotham Batman wouldn't have a rogue's gallery anymore.
CFFJR: I agree. Power Girl was the only DC book i really read and now shes gone. I don't even know if she will be coming back at any point. Palmotti, Gray, and the amazing Amanda Conner did a fantastic job on her solo series.

Punisher can't even finish the job with crappy villains like Jigsaw and Bonebreaker (half-man half-tank dude). Why would he do any better against villains that are leagues ahead of them?
