The Official Nathan Barnatt Rise to Fame/Appreciation Thread
Re: The Official Nathan Barnatt Rise to Fame/Appreciation Thread
I've rented the Assassins Creed games and wasn't very impressed. Was there a lot of diving into things in the game that I missed out on or something?
Re: The Official Nathan Barnatt Rise to Fame/Appreciation Thread
Pretty much yeah.

Yeah, quite a bit actually... the Leap of Faith plays a huge role in the franchise.Redifer wrote:I've rented the Assassins Creed games and wasn't very impressed. Was there a lot of diving into things in the game that I missed out on or something?

Haa! Well. I wouldn't say I'm loaded but I do have more money now than I ever did when I worked a regular job. If you could even call my old job a regular job. I dug graves. But I also don't have a car and just ride a bike everywhere. So I don't spend a lot of money aside from buying arcade games and renting bouncy houses three times a year. And I've never had to pay for damages or get a lawyer for Keith. I usually get off pretty easy just by continuing to ramble as Keith so they just want to get me out of their faces as fast as possible.

This is my favorite awkward Keith video - and Nathan didn't even film it! Every time he slaps the other guy's hand away, I can't stop laughing. Brilliant.Xeogred wrote:That's the stuff I like about Keith the most, the E3 videos had me laughing so hard. More into awkward humor myself I guess.Redifer wrote:I like the older Talking Classics stuff. The Sega CD episode is one of my absolute favs on the internet. However I don't really find much humor in the "ASSASSINS CREED" diving and the falling down in front of unsuspecting people kind of gets old, but that's just me. I'm not really into slapstick, at least when it is done ad nauseam. Still, I wish the guy success and if he makes it bug, then that is awesome!

@retrosportsgamer: I love how the Alma girl just goes with it and doesn't even crack a smile, lol.
Sorry to bug you with another one, but I guess I'll throw this out there too. Would you say Sacha Baron Cohen was an inspiration at all? I was showing some videos of Talking Classics to one of my friends last night and he made the comparison with Ali G. The best part just like Cohen's stuff is that he never fell out of character no matter how the situations went, just like you with Keith stuff and that's just hilariously awesome.
Haha, that's awesome to hear.NathanBarnatt wrote:Haa! Well. I wouldn't say I'm loaded but I do have more money now than I ever did when I worked a regular job. Oh man I hope not. That is a guy that, to me, gets old very very fast. I can handle him in small doses. But he didn't exactly invent what he does. That kind of stuff probably goes back even before Candid Camera.Xeogred wrote:Would you say Sacha Baron Cohen was an inspiration at all?
I have to admit that I was excited to see a Sega Menacer around James Cameron and Peter Jackson, though. They didn't know they were basking in such "greatness". Surely after they watched it later they realized it was the highlight of their lives and they missed it!
Re: The Official Nathan Barnatt Rise to Fame/Appreciation Thread
I'm definitely not the biggest Cohen fan myself (and obviously yes he didn't invent this stuff, lol), but yeah. Since my friend brought it up I thought I'd randomly throw it out there and maybe we'll get to hear what inspired Keith to do what he does, unless it was stated before somewhere. Heh.
