I wanna see another Bloody Roar 5 game the 4th one is and still is great fighting game so is the the first and the 2nd game and the 3rd.
Re: Bloody Roar 5 Announced
I'm a big fan of the series, but I thought 4 was a heaping pile of shit. The gamecube one was the best one to me. It looked the best, had the most diverse character roster, awesome multi tiered levels, and cool campaigns for each character. 4 reduced the levels to awful 10 foot squares with magical barriers that prevented you from actually playing throughout the level. No more layers in any environments, effects were kind of lackluster, and the campaign mode they added with that female was very lame. The health bars and transformation bars got fused together into two bars that pooled eachother. It felt completely redundant. However, my favourite part of that game was the build a character thing they had going in it. I think they could have built that up a lot better, because it was just fun to build them up and select the movelists.

This may be bad, with many fighters getting new chances, I do not see this gaining a foothold in the competitive scene

It's going to be difficult for sure considering we've got some big heavy-hitters coming out in full force. Between Capcom and Namco alone we've got Street Fighter IV AE 2011, SF X Tekken, TTT2, Ultimate MvC3, Soul Calibur V and then Tekken X Street Fighter 1-2 years from now, as well as a new Darkstalkers.
The only thing Bloody Roar has going for it is the transformation system, but imho, that's also its biggest flaw. I think it's a great an' fun gimmick (I was a huge BR2 fan) but ultimately I think it'll be a headache for the competitive scene and the developers themselves.

And it was just announced to be a hoax. Oh well. Just means I get to spend my money elsewhere. WOOOT.

“Bloody roar doesn’t have a chance against SF, TK, SC. Sorry guys
”
I'd buy it.

I'd buy it.

I don't know about the competitive scene, but I'd buy it. It might get a hold of the "casual" fighter scene.

Big fan of the first two or three games myself as well, and I'm honestly not a big fighting fan... but they were just really fun with some cool transformations and all. I'll definitely keep an eye out on this.
