So the Net Dimm is different than the regular Dimm board? How exactly does the Net Dimm connect to a network, do you just plug it into your computer instead of plugging that end into the GD ROM? Would I just open a folder and click on the ROM image to load a game? Sorry for all the noob questions, this all sounds very interesting now that I have a Naomi setup of my own.

network dimm can be booted over ethernet without a GD Rom drive present. Essentially yes, after configuring the hardware jumper and test mode settings on the Net Dimm, you can load an image of a GD-Rom from your PC. You either need a router, or a crossover ethernet cable if you want to skip a router.

Google "mameworld net dimm" for most of the info you need. DONT try to power a net-dimm with just the capcom I/O. Even w/o the gd-rom, it draws too much on the 3.3v line and can cause damage. I went the route of getting a SUN PSU which works great.

Feel free to PM me about this.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
