Inevitably an unpleasant experience occurs nearly every trip to my nearest Wal-Mart. It's one of those nasty ones off of the interstate. Mobile meth labs, aggressive shoplifters, child abuse, parking lot squatters, all have made news. Hell, a few years ago a body was found in the trunk of an abandoned car. When I have to go I gotta steel myself up for it and focus on being patient, getting in and out, and try to enjoy the freak show.

Ticked: Thunder, lightning, 30 MPH gusts of winds, some strange stuff falling on me with some hard chunks in it. I'm scared.

Smile: I can barely see off my patio and I might lose power, but not just a wussy sprinkle!

That's nothing; the wind was about 40-60 MPH last night up here. I'm glad we didn't get a power outage, but I'm sure a lot of people did.

Actually I looked a bit later and it was more like 35 with gusts of 47. I wasn't really scared, I was just joking about 'not remembering' what the stuff falling from the sky was.

But yeah, my power did flicker at one point but that was it. That's the most rain I've had since the end of last year. Glad your power didn't go out either.

Smile: Had a really fun time last night watching movies in the home theater. Since we got the projector, I think the bravia is getting jealous. And I've said it before, but my wife makes the best popcorn. Straight out of the kettle with fresh butter. Better than movie theater popcorn believe it or not.

We watched Madea's Big Happy Family. It's entertaining, way over the top, but still fun and well written (mostly). The jokes that fall flat still make me laugh as the actors look like they know the joke won't work. It'll end up being one of those movies that seem to be on tv everyday (like FRIDAY) that you'll eventually get tired of, but it plays like a 1.5 hour sitcom. It's a movie best viewed with a crowd of people who aren't afraid to laugh at stupid stuff.

Ticked: To say I had a fender bender is a HUGE exaggeration. A kid pulled out in front of me, and my car kissed his car. No signs of any damage, but his "Mommy" told him to call the cops. I told him since we were both fine, and that our cars were fine to just go, but he ended up calling the police and got himself a ticket for Failure to Yield. I also got a ticket for "failure to keep a safe distance" but the cop said I'll only have to pay court costs and the ticket will be dropped. If the guy would have listened to me, we both would have saved time off of work and $100 in court costs.

Dumb kids.

My lawyer said to just show up and pay court costs. It's not worth my time or money to dispute insurance claims, as there won't be any.

*edit* The crazy thing is that I had a dream the previous night that I was in an accident.

If they pulled out in front of you unsafely, why would you get a ticket for failure to keep safe distance? Glad everyone and vehicles are ok, but That's annoying that you're going to be out time and money for their mistake.

Sometime you have to pay attention to those dreams. My mom had a horrible dream when I was in High School. I don't remember what she said it was about, but she said she just had the horrible feeling she shouldn't go to work. She did anyway. On the way there she almost ran into a hog, a deer, and a turkey when they ran in front of her car and when she finally got to work, she had the shittiest day she's ever had. I told her that next time three animals try to commit suicide via her car that she needs to just turn around, come home and and call in sick. Or at least call dad to pick up the carcass. No reason nothing good could come out of her crappy day.
