I paid $40, so in a way, that's a kick in the balls, but on the other hand, I'd easily put down $50 for this collection.

I paid 40 in my last ever GameStop purchase. Also picked up my Child of Eden pre order.

Re: Team Ico
I love these PS 3 collections being actual retail releases. This is so much better than just getting some digital only, HD version of games like Rez, Radiant Silvergun, Beyond Good and Evil, etc.
I love having the Sly Collection sitting on my shelf, soon to be joined by this Ico/SOTC Collection. Eventually, I'll get the God of War collection too probably. I've only held off on that because it's not one of my favorite games/series.

The pic in CRT's post? Yea I can't stand it. The cover is reversible and for these games I'd say less going on on the cover the more fitting it is.Veno wrote:flex wood, you didn't like the cover? I thought it looked really nice.
I wish more games did the whole reversible cover thing. I just looked at some other games and I really think the minimalist cover works way better. I mean yea the normal cover is for advertising and getting people to buy the game from just reading it but why can't i have a reversible cover? I mean after you buy a game do you ever really read the box again? I just want more cool game art.
Re: Team Ico
What is on the inside cover? Has anyone discovered any additional features besides HD that is not on the PS2 versions? Especially ICO, if it has the extra modes as the PAL version? The cover pic of ICO alludes to the PAL edition.flex wood wrote:The pic in CRT's post? Yea I can't stand it. The Playstation blog had a post with the cover picture here.CRTGAMER wrote:What is on the inside cover? Has anyone discovered any additional features besides HD that is not on the PS2 versions? Digitalfoundry has a run down on technical aspects.
Skimming through reviews on Metacritic, IGN's (at least) does say that it is the EU release of Ico with the added features.

I also read this on PSXExtreme:
"One fact to note is that ICO is based on the European release, so American gamers might spot a few differences. Some of the puzzles have been altered, for instance, but the biggest change is as follows: upon completing the game once, you can replay and Yorda’s gibberish will be accompanied by subtitles, so you can finally understand what she’s saying. You can even try a new co-op mode that lets a friend play as Yorda, and that changes the entire complexion of the adventure. Not only are these awesome additional features, they also enhance this collection’s longevity."

Thanks! The inside covers are nice, makes the case look like a fine book.flex wood wrote:much better art and no words
I have played Yorda co-op on the PS2, its not that great. She can't hold a sword or do certain moves, reviewed some pages back. Curious what she is saying though. Looks like some additional videos are included according to the cover, from the Nico disc?Gamerforlife wrote:I also read this on PSXExtreme:

Woah, thanks for the heads up on the reversible cover flex wood. I thought it looked good before, but this is even better.
