Child of Eden
Re: Child of Eden
This game just sounds awesome to me. I need to watch a gameplay video. May have to buy a PS3 again when that version comes out. Got to save my pennies for a white PS3 slim.

I don't know if anyone else was looking for the in game CoE music, but here it is. These are not the Genki Rockets remixes that the CoE soundtrack is derived from. Quite a bit different and quite awesome.

I got this game last week and just beat it tonight. It's amazing and beautiful; THIS is what more video games should try to be! The aesthetic experience is on such a high level that it seems to transcend being a game, and yet the scoring system is so challenging I know I'll be playing this one for a long time to come.
It's everything Rez was, only more so. I love it. It kind of makes me wish I had a Kinect.

You should be able to get a Kinect used for $50 - 80 if you try. Totally worth it, IMO. While Kinect isn't perfect it does make the game more immersive for me and for all of my friends too. I know some people prefer the controller. I just do not know any of them in real life.Nemoide wrote:I got this game last week and just beat it tonight. This game is the only reason I bought a Kinect, and this game is worth every penny.
Re: Child of Eden
Not that anyone else plays this game besides me, but the PS3 version just came out today. Finishing up normal difficulty now. Much easier than with the Kinect. However, I have noticed that I haven't been able to get more than 3 stars on anything. I'm pretty sure I did worse with the Kinect and got more stars. Perhaps they made that aspect more difficult in the PS3 version.

Re: Child of Eden
nope, I played this game to death for months. Are you playing on move? The only problem I had with Kinect was the triggering mechanism for firing. Aiming was better IMO than the controller just getting firing every time seemed inconsistent. If you could just map fire and bomb to buttons on Move this game would be that much better.

I am using the Move. You CAN map the tracer, euphoria, and autolock to buttons with the Move. This is probably the best way to play for score.gradualmeltdown wrote:nope, I played this game to death for months. Are you playing on move? The default is to have the tracer on the trigger. Euphoria on the Move button. And octolock is automatic. You flick the controller to trigger it. Making it more like the Kinect but less laggy and more accurate.
Re: Child of Eden
Anyone willing to challenge my scores with the Move? I'm just getting started, but so far I am #1 on the leader boards for level 1,2,3 on normal. Bring it!

My copy came in yesterday from amazon.com... REZ part 2! (ps3 version) Talk about trippy. Enjoying it so far, got a bit stuck on archive 3. Have to hit it up again tonight. Any Rez fans will like this.

So many people on this board have mentioned how much they love this game so I piked it up today during lunch. Can't wait to play it.
