Terra Nova

Post by BurningDoom »

I can't believe no one is talking about this! I was blown away by the pilot. If the rest of the series is half as good as the pilot, then I will be a big fan. Great sci-fi, survival, killer dinosaurs, bad guys, and a conspiracy that's already got me intrigued.

Anyone else catch it. What did you think?

I taped it, but haven't seen it yet. Monday Night Raw takes precedence over everything since I'm a big wrestling fan. I've heard good things about it though

It's on Fox though, soooo how long before it either gets cancelled(Firefly, Sara Connor Chronicles, Dollhouse) or just gets sent to the Friday Night death slot (Fringe)?

Truth be spoken. But this time I don't think FOX is as eager to give Steven Spielberg the boot of all people.

Fringe seems to be doing OK on Fridays. Though the first ep of the new season wasn't all that amazing.

Same. I typically dont watch more than one show as they air, except Dr Who, and right now its Castle (mostly because I can miss a week and Im ok on the plot and it is on hulu next day). Terra Nova is going to make me break the rule. Its got dinosaurs in it. DINOSAURS in a primetime tv show. That hasnt happened since the mid 90s...not the mama.

I dunno it was alright but some of the acting was horrible like when that chick freaks out in the armored car where shes safe after they got ahold of the sergent dude and she gets snagged by a dino whats worse is that even tho she got caught by the dino it seems to just fuck her up but not kill her or eat her

Then theres the part where they rip the side of the car off and the dino snags the kid by the ankle and just gnaws on it which looked super fake

I really like the premise of the show and hope it turns out better but i dunno the first episode was pretty meh to me

Yeah, of the shows I watched on Friday Fringe was the weakest premiere. Nikita was awesome and Supernatural went in a direction no one expected. Nikita really wowed me the most though. That show is firing on all cylinders right now. I do hope Friday is maybe not such a bad time slot anymore because three of my fave shows are on there. I'm not counting Chuck, which will also be on Fridays, as that show is having its last season so potentially low Friday night ratings won't matter

That certainly got my interest as well. Like you, I don't watch much "live" anymore. It's too hard to keep up with all the shows I like(which includes Dr Who), especially with my unconventional work schedule. Making things worse is that I've recently started watching stuff online too. The WB has the first two seasons of Veronica Mars streaming on their site so I finally have a chance to see all of season 2. Plus, I've been watching Slayers Revolution on dailymotion.com. So, there's just too many shows i'm into right now
