I didn't think this was possible?

I've seen some one else bring up a really good point on the other forum. Does overclocking actually increase the FPS, or just speed up the game?

The game speed increases a little and the framerate increases a lot. It's harder to tell on the youtube video because youtube is only 30 fps instead of the standard 60 fps you get on your tv. But on that youtube video I can easily notice the left screen being way more choppy and having a lower framerate than the right screen.

Well, the right-screen moves a bit quicker, and the Arwing bolts move a lot smoother, but I noticed some screen shake-ups in both screens (due to YouTube's 30fps cap or perhaps the gameplay itself?)

Dumb question, but would this mean a game like Vortex (which I think uses the Super FX chip and not the FX2), which was marred with slow-down, be actually playable?

That's not a dumb question. This mod will work on ANY super fx game. The downside is that the best results happen when you install a game onto a super fx 2 cart. It's possible to run super fx 1 games on the super fx 2 chip. I wanted to build a super fx 2 stunt race fx but that game needs a battery saving circuit to remember unlocks and doom doens't have a battery circuit. We also tried adding our own battery circuit to doom and it works but it drains a new battery in about 1 week.

And yes the 30 fps youtube video doesn't do this mod justice but you can still see the difference at half fps.

I've almost completed my overclocked starfox 2, so far I've cleared the entire game on 32 mhz. Ironically the other overclocking method on the internet didn't work on starfox 2 I had to use the same technique I used to overclock starfox 1 to get starfox 2 to properly overclock as well.

I figured out the top speed starfox 1 can safely overclock it. It's a bit faster than my other video:

Can you upload to mediafire or megaupload so we can see it in 60 fps?
