One day they will try force us to give them blowjobs and we won't get surpised even a little bit.

You all kind of indirectly are. Your lining their pockets at your expense, sometimes grievously, allowing them to profit out of screwing over the consumer.

I don't think I have to say that this is why I'm a retro gamer with no current gen console.

I think most posters around here are more than able to justify their pucharses so as to accuse us of rewarding companies who screw their costumers.

Sorry, wasn't the members of this board I was thinking of, but rather a large group of unnamed and unidentifiable ignorant consumers. This kind of stuff gets brought up so much here that I assume no one here would ignorantly bend over.

This falls under the category of "Shit I still don't care about." I buy my games new, install them once, and don't try to resell them. So I really don't care about these various provisions, since none of it affects my gaming habits.

Very cool, but that also means your opinions are largely irrelevant to those it does affect.

I disagree. I doubt there will be many people who applaud these sorts of things, but you guys need someone to counterbalance your proclimations that video games are dying and these developments are going to ruin things forever.

I'm not sure where anyone said that in this thread. I think the proclamations that video games are dying are unfounded, of course, but I do think that the nature of the video game experience has long been changed from what it was 30, 25, and 15 years ago, but that's just business as usual.

I love how they have to expressly state that this part of the EULA doesn't apply to Quebec, Russia, Switzerland and all Member States of the EU as those countries have it written into law that no corporation can force you to give up your rights as part of a licencing agreement for use of a product or service. Hopefully that should jump out as a red flag for everyone. If some countries consider part of your contract to be unethical, chances are you shouldn't be forcing it on other countries...

I honestly couldn't see this standing up in a court of law. It stinks of a cheeky ploy to dissuade smaller to mid-range claims.
