CD AGES wrote:I got really lucky on ebay. I picked up Gals, Dive Alert, Pac-Man, Bust a Move Pocket, SNK vs. Capcom for $60. Fair price considering all titles were complete in box with manuals (even Pac-Man came with the rubberized joystick restrictor that makes the game more accessible to play). I was quite happy with my purchase!

Ooh, was this about six weeks ago? I was almost tempted to bid on that!

Lol! I believe so. Yup six weeks ago seems about right. Prior to that, I won an auction that contained a Monochrome NGP (thing is smaller that NGPC) and 4 games complete with their clamshell cases for 50 bucks. I mainly jumped on it for KOF R-1. Great game!

I just got a Neo-Geo Pocket Color myself and I adore it. The first thing I need to rectify before I build up a gaming collection for the ill-fated awesome handheld is some sort of light. Did interact or someone else make a worm light like they did for the GBC/GBA? I'm sure they must have, but I'm not seeing anything on ebay. Can someone help me out? The bane of classic handhelds are always that you can't see the damn screen until you're directly under a lamp.

I've honestly never had any problems seeing the NGPC screen. It always surprises me when people do.

The GBC and original GBA screens on the other hand...

they were called nyko worm lights. imo it might cost as much to front light it with a gba sp's light. http://www.jamma-nation-x.com/jammax/fi ... t_ngpc.pdf

I can see the NGPC screen ok as well. I do however, need my light on even in the daytime when I play it.

The NGP wormlight is pretty hard to find. I spend at least a couple of years trying to find a decent priced one on ebay and finally gave up. The mod looks very good but time consuming. Would probably take a novice like me a whole day to perform.

Got a NGPC little while ago.

As someone above me has said, I have an extremely hard time seeing anything on the screen. After playing the GBA-SP and DS for so long I have a hard time going back to a light-less console like this.

Still like the system though, even though I only have two games (Sonic and KoF R-2).

GameTZ link aside, I sometimes see something like it bundled with the NGPC system on eBay from time to time. (Usually the one bundled with a battery pack, sometimes the standalone Nyko light.)
Weird; I never got used to those things sticking out of systems.

The mod is indeed time consuming; while the availability of parts is not a concern, the price of said parts can vary.
