What in the hell was that all about? Ken Park (the character) was a "plot device," apparently, except the characters only briefly mention him at the end when they're having a completely random threesome with a not-so-attractive girl.

I'd heard it was this awesome movie. It was absolutely boring. So it's got a 17 year old guy eating out a hot MILF. Maybe that's what garnered the 'awesome movie' status, but personally I thought it was boring. The kids didn't accomplish anything, and the kid that kills his grandparents isn't really explained at all. He's just a plain and simple little shit that likes to choke himself while choking his chicken and abuse his gracious grandparents.

Seriously, what a waste of a download.
Larry Clark loves that kind of stuff, it's really creepy and disturbing. And yes, Ken Park is garbage, the only decent film that he's ever done is Bully.

Also, avoid anything made by Harmonie Korine.

I watched Gummo with some friends on this TV that played it in Black and White. What a day that was.

Gummo is such a POS, but at least it had Chloe Sevigny :) .

I liked Kids a lot. But nothing else. Bully is just rough.

I have to agree on the Bully thing, it's just... bleak, it's basically a film that exists to depress everyone.

Yeah, as much as I hate bullies that film was just cruel, nihilistic and unlikeable. And you're hearing this from a guy that saw A Serbian Film and Cannibal Holocaust.

To be honest, I'd dare to say that Cannibal Holocaust is a great film and arguably the best exploitation film of all time. It's well acted, the soundtrack is fantastic and it kind of started the "found footage" fad.

As for A Serbian Film It's arguably the most fucked up film out there, it's about a retired pornstar that gets an offer to star on an art film that end ups being a snuff film (And that's without mentioning what happens :x , lets just say there are graphic scenes of pedophilia and necrophilia and that's in the cut version)

Here's a great review of the film pointing what's wrong and what's good about it: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/serbianfilm.php

It's an appalling film that shouldn't exist and at the same time I can easily say it's well acted and well shot in gorgeous widescreen.

Drive

Still holds up with the second view

So with the second view, I started to see why people were saying that Ryan Gosling's character is a reflection of Man with No Name character. Also, the film does follow in the genre of less dialog and more visual.
