Personal Collection Goals
Re: Personal Collection Goals
I'm actuallyl in the process of paring down my collection. I'm getting rid of any game I likely won't play again, which includes about half of my SNES collection and a good number of PS2, Wii, and Gameboy games. I'm also beginning to replace some of my physical games with downloadable versions when they are cheaper. This is especially true of my PS1 games and I might do it to what remains of my SNES collection (no Earthbound on VC is the major thing from getting rid of my SNES all together).

Re: Personal Collection Goals
1. Get all CIB SNES RPGs besides Earthbound (getting that CIB isnt worth it to me, and I have the Uncle Tusk repro box that is the standard snes box size) - biggest one I am missing is Lufia 1
2. Finish off PS1 RPGs. I have all the major ones, I think I am missing Thousand Arms and Azure Dreams and a few other minor ones.
3. Get every console/handheld (US release) - Missing Neo Geos, gameboy and GBC, 3DO, Lynx, Atari 5200, CDX, Turbo Duo.
4. Some rare/expensive titles - Panzer Dragoon Saga, Snatcher, Albert Odyssey, Guardian Heroes.
5. Pick up some SNES RPG repros from Gamereproductions.com

Re: Personal Collection Goals
1. Obtain every NES game released in North America. This is my biggest, most difficult goal, and I may not include games like Nintendo World Championships.
2. Collect every game for systems that have smaller libraries, such as the Atari 5200, Virtual Boy, and Sega 32x.
3. Collect any game worth owning for almost any system, including the 3DO, TG-16, and other obscure systems.

-Get Harvest Moon (GB) and HM 3 (GBC) both CIB to complete my Game Boy Harvest Moon collection.
-Collect various versions of Out of this World.
-Buy the specific Intellivision games I lack.
-Play all these games!

Re: Personal Collection Goals
-Own every U.S. Pokémon game. Yeah, this one will be tough, just because of the sheer number of spinoffs and such.
-Own every Dr. Mario game. I think the only one I can't get is BS Dr. Mario, since that was a broadcast.
-Own every U.S. N64 game, at least loose.
If I can complete at least two of these before I turn old that'd be amazing!

Re: Personal Collection Goals
My collection goal is to sell the stuff I know I'll never use. I've been selling mass amounts of my collection as of late. I just don't have time to play as much so I've been letting lots of games go instead of buying. Most of it is my PS2 stuff I know I'll never play, but that still adds up to over 200 games that I'm slowly selling on ebay.
I've also sold a decent amount of my Gamecube, Dreamcast, Xbox, PS3 and 360 collections as well over the course of the summer. My modded Saturn is next to go. I've played everything on there to death and it sits in its box untouched for over a year now. I plan on keeping my NES, SNES, Wii, and most of my Gamcube stuff. I cherish my Nintendo consoles & games and will probably build up those sometime in the future.
I also have about 30 PS2 games mostly RPGs and Survival Horror games I'm keeping. I love survival horror and PS2 era RPGs the PS2 has those genres covered in spades. I just can't bring myself to sell them. I do find myself buying DS games mostly these days. It has a great library and gaming on the go is all I really have time for these days.

Re: Personal Collection Goals
Unless you're going for CIB, I would think that #3 is the easiest since there are less games total.BoringSupreez wrote:1. Own every N64 game that's worth owning, CIB.
2. Own every oXbox game worth owning, CIB.
3. Own all the old Lucas Arts point-and-click adventures.
Obviously, goal 3 is the most likely to ever actually happen.

Similar to one of my goals.AznKhmerBoi wrote:1- every snes (us) rpg in box
I'm fine with unboxed though. Finding boxed Earthbound, Lufia II, etc would be insane.

I want to own an N64 DD and a Satellaview
