Hey, someone's been spying on me, haven't they?!

I didn't use to be like this. Once upon a time, when I was like 10 or 11, I would play anything I bought to completion, even if it obviously stank. Usually, more than one time. Now, I neither have the time or desire to play every single game I buy. The collecting itself is as fun as the games. My younger brother who also plays games cannot understand at all why I am like this. He's still in the play-everything-he-can-get-ahold-of phase. It also helps that his collection is far smaller.

I don't know why, but it takes a better game to get me invested into completeing it than it used to. Nowadays, a game has to be good enough that it will still be considered great years from now before I'm interested in playing. A new Half-Life or Mario or MGS will draw me like a bee to honey, but the Killzones and and Need for Speeds and SOCOMs just don't really get my attention like they used to. Although there are a few series with obvious flaws like Phoenix Wright and Sly Cooper that I love anyway, just because of their great stories, characters, and overall charm.
