One time when I was maybe 6 or 7 my best friend was over spending the night and we were eating dinner. We started laughing about something, I don't remember what it was. We absolutely could not stop laughing. It was so bad that my usually unflappable mom was getting upset with us, which of course made it worse.

Not to one up you, but... My brother and I were at my uncle's father's wake. He was a fireman, so there were a lot of firemen there all dressed up. One of them, at one point, was singing (maybe Amazing Grace) but was by no means a professional singer. Not that he was hitting bad notes, but he was over doing the vibrato. So bad in fact that my brother thought it sounded like he was being electrocuted when holding out notes. He told me later that it made him want to bust out laughing which, of course, would have been completely inappropriate.

But yeah, the chain effect laugh is the worst. When you and some one else got the giggles, it's a vicious circle that cannot be broken easily. Even when you start to compose yourself, you'll see the face of the other person trying to hold back the laugh, which in turn makes you start to laugh, and then you both start laughing hard again.

On a completely different subject, as I just posted in the "Finds" thread, I just found out that my TV can display 50Hz input signals. Yay! Had that TV for a while now, never knew.

Where the heck did the name "Racket Boy" come from, anyway? Is it some really obvious retro-gaming reference that I am about to feel eternally ashamed of for not knowing?

He is a boy made of rackets. No big secret.

It comes from his heavy involvement in crime rackets.

Talk about a game of telephone! He wasn't a champion squash player, he made rackets for squash as well as tennis. He made the finest rackets in the world. That is, until the accident.
