Just means you aren't trying hard enoughBradtemple87 wrote:Well my Mac is coming up on 4 years old with ZERO viruses or crashesnoiseredux wrote:should we start up the obligatory PC vs Mac thing now ?
I bought a Quicksilver G4 recently, so that I'd have a machine that could run my older software now that neither my Powertower Pro nor my Powerbook G4 want to turn on...succeeded in hard locking it 4-5 times in a couple days. Yay for OS9. OS X has its own troubles though, just like everything else.

I haven't ever had any viruses on my PCs. Crashes, they're definitely less frequent with XP and Windows 7.Bradtemple87 wrote: Well my Mac is coming up on 4 years old with ZERO viruses or crashes
When I had a Mac, I do remember getting the "Sad Mac" from time to time. It's not perfect.

Nothing is. Honestly, I feel just as comfortable in Windows 7 as I do Mac OS. Neither of them have ever really given me any issues.gtmtnbiker wrote:I haven't ever had any viruses on my PCs. Older. Not wiser.
Re: Best Buy Sucks
I have crashed my share of Windows, Linux, and Mac machines. Nothing is perfect. I have never gotten a virus. Things just sometimes happen when you're doing tasks that really work the computer. Most common is hard drive failure. I do my sound recording on SSDs now.

...but from what you have told us, he did not lie. You can, in fact, upgrade it. Was he specific about how you could upgrade it, but lied about the specifics?BurningDoom wrote:...he shouldn't have bold faced lied to me about it.

If he specifically asked about the video card (which he mentioned doing in the OP), was told it was upgradeable, and the computer doesn't have a slot for it, then it was the wrong answer. Maybe not a deliberate lie, but wrong nonetheless.Breetai wrote:...but from what you have told us, he did not lie. You can, in fact, upgrade it. Same. Though I have had like 2 crashes. Restarted and it was fine. Now I reinstall my OS every year or so and the computer still runs great. Sometimes I miss the power a PC would've had for the price, but for me macs make up for it in the quality of their parts. Unless this computer breaks down I'm planning on using it for at least another 6 yearsBradtemple87 wrote: Well my Mac is coming up on 4 years old with ZERO viruses or crashes
Looking for Animal Crossing e Reader cards! - link

Apple doesn't use higher quality parts to go with their high prices.. Make no mistake. All the manufacturers generally use very similar in quality parts. What they do have is nice designs. Very visually appealing.
