Saturn / SCD long box dimension

Post by opethfan »

Howdy folks, I've been looking everywhere to see if someone has the dimensions for the cases US Sega CD and Saturn games came in, either from their own measurements or found online.

Thanks!

I was about to be amazed that Google can convert, then I realized that's obviously what you did too :P

so 20.7 x 14.4 x 2.1cm?

Edward Furlongs? I didn't realize the guy was a unit of measurement. Now I'll need to get me one and put it in storage, just in case.

Well, I have a few Saturn games without cases (Daytona in the cardboard slip, Nights that was hiding in the Daytona slip when I bought it, and VF2 I bought used) and I have some JP Saturn games on the way (how can airmail take so long from Japan to Vancouver?) and I'm debating how to store them.

Do I use jewel cases (despite there being no custom US covers available) or DVD cases that aren't the same size as either US or JP Saturn games?

Should be able to resize the US covers to DVD cases and print out without much distortion.

The Cover Project has custom DVD covers, I just don't know how they'd look among JP jewel cases and regular long boxes.
